NYC: Sparkle Eye Dust- Opal Sparkle (eyeshadow)
Overall rating: 3
Price value : 4
Packaging quality 3
Buy again? no

this comes in a little pot with a tiny brush inside to apply it with. it's very similar to L'Oreal's Illuminations On The Loose e/s powder stuff, but not nearly as good. i could never pick up enough product on the brush, and the brush kinda sucked IMO. Opal Sparkle is supposed to be a whitish powder e/s with blue/violet duochrome. it didn't show up AT ALL on my lids, and this was disappointing.

Aww that's too bad Xiahe =( did you try using it over another (cream) shadow? I did that and found it really brought out the colours for me. I bought Smokey Topaz and it’s a deep colour -- it seems quite pink in the bottle thingy but it’s actually more of a deep brown (great as a crease colour). Then I went and bought Champagne and I love this one =) I don’t know what your complexion is but mine’s a medium-brownish and I love these two colour combinations! Maybe you could try a different colour…besides they are so cheap you can afford to do so!

By the way, if you have any suggestions on getting out the shadow let me know please! The package is big & bulky plus I think they make it that way just so it appears to hold more. I’d like to transfer it to another container and see just how much is really in there. And I had the opposite problem that you did -- I had so much shadow packed on the brush and it was hard to swipe it off, so I just applied it to my lids like that (and they’re very bright intense colours). I wouldn’t use it as an everyday shadow but it would be fun to wear on a night out; it’s bright and easily catches the light so I think it’d be good to use as a highlight (I’m referring to Champagne here)

It is quite messy to use & apply as it is loose powder but once you catch any fallout its great. It might be better if applied as a wet shadow…?
Anyways I was really surprised by this product and the sparkly factor wasn’t annoying at all which is saying a lot because I detest makeup with sparkles/glitter!
