Maybelline: Mineral Power Foundation (liquid and loose powder)
Overall Rating: 5

So far I'm in love with this foundation! My favorite is the liquid. It goes on a smoothly and its coverage is buildable. I set it with the loose powder to get a little added extra coverage. I picked this up hoping to find a cheaper version of my Bare Minerals and I think I have found it! It wears better on my skin than my BM and I'm less oily at the end of the day. The loose powder doesn't give as much coverage as BM but if you sit and buff for a while you can get good coverage. I like to use a combanation of both the liquid and the loose powder. So far, I've been wearing it for a week and haven't had any breakouts! Which is always a concern when trying out a new foundation. I really like this!

i like it too! i think it's my winter foundation since it's a little moisturizing and studio fix fluid has been drying me out. and the concealer covers my under eye circles very well! i think i'll get a mac concealer for my acne scars on my cheeks though. the maybelline one doesn't seem to be enough. but other than that, thumbs up =]

I haven't been using the foundation that often, but I like the powder. The brush is awesome and makes blending super easy.

i have the liquid and i'm very satisfied with it, but the bottle is kind of small compared to other brands. It moisturizes very well, but sometimes i think my skin feels still wet/sticky even after it has dried and i have set with powder. other than that i really like it for a drug store brand.

Would you buy this product again? Maybe.

I wanted to try out mineral foundation (I'm also pretty new to the powder foundation thing) so I decided to go with a cheap brand to experiment with. I like the coverage, it worked better than I expected. It had a very natural finish and felt great on my skin, and it felt really nice all day. It didn't dry out my face. My only problem is the range of shades they have, they definately need to expand on those. They're kind of orange-y...I think if I do purchase again, I might go with a lighter shade. The brush was also pretty scratchy on my face and didn't blend well at all, luckily I had a buffer brush of my own to use. I'll probably try out some other lines before I consider purchasing this product again.

Would you buy this product again?: ALREADY HAVE!! YES!

I have a hard time with foundation since my skin seems to absorb all my makeup and within an hour looks like i never put makeup on. I got the liquid and powder (BOGO) and really love the stuff. The liquid is by FAR my favorite. I think the line had quite an array of shades to choose from, so if you are looking to purchase this, maybe go to one or 2 drug stores. i got mine at walgreens. 2 shades looked really great with my skin, but i got the darker one since its summer here in FL.
Only issue is i have touse my fingers to apply this makeup. If i use my sponge, it sort of sicks on my skin and feels greasy like not rubbed in, so i use my fingers. but i typically use my fingers with foundation anyhow.
The powder is nice to use lightly over the liquid, but i dont use it for coverage. mostly to help matte the foundation and help it last!

Definitely worth a try! I love it!

Would you buy this product again? Yes.

Just realized I didn't rate this and referenced it in another post of mine. So here goes:

I had been searching for a great foundation (liquid and powder, though mostly liquid). I had tried MAC, Makeup Forever, Clinique, and recently, Bare Escentuals. None of these compared to this product. MAC liquids tend to look and feel wet or too dewy most of the time, Clinique and Makeup Forever accentuated the dryness rather than helped it (really showed any flaky skin), and Bare Escentuals made me have a break out like nothing has in a long, long, long, long time.

Alright enough of that spiel. This foundation looks great, doesn't feel heavy, and has a medium-high buildable coverage. The only problem I have with it is that it can accentuate flaky skin if too much is worn and it doesn't really add moisture, so make sure you use a good moisturizer prior to use. Other than that, it's a very good product.

Re: Maybelline: Mineral Power Foundation (liquid and loose powder)
How do you pick your color? (I have a horrible time with this.)

My MAC concealer is NC20 and am a Light/Medium in the MAC Mineralize powder foundation.

Any suggestions?
