Hello Ladies:

I am still trying for employment with M.A.C. and I've went to the counters and basically put myself out there. On this journey, I've definitely felt awkward and sheepish for lusting after a job with M.A.C. but this is truly what I want to do!

Question: I plan to call the manager (maybe once a month) just to show my interest in wanting to work for M.A.C. (although they don't anticipate an opening until May) and I wanted to know if this is bothersome or annoying for current M.A.'s when people call and ask to speak to the manager about employment. Also, if anyone thinks I should just let fate take its course, please advise also. I don't want to be a nuisance but I REALLY want this job...

Hey girl! First of all I want to say that my heart is in New Orleans also and it always will be.

I don't think that your calling would bother the manager, if anything it should show him/her that you are very interested. As far as the MA's go, they shouldn't get upset but it depends on the person. Sometimes people welcome you and sometimes there are people who don't like the idea of anyone new in their circle.

There are a lot of people that want to work with MAC so if you don't keep checking in with them, it might never happen. I've only been at my counter for sixth months but from what I see, most people drop off a resume and then never check back at all.
Checking in, sending thank you notes, things like that are all good. As long as you are sweet about it I can't see them being bothered, they will remember you. Best of luck hun!
