it was harder than i thought it was going to be!! i can go into loads of detail if people want me to...? even so, i feel failry confident, find out within a week... eek!! all my fingers and toes and crossed!

k here goes....

had to travel to glasgow so was up at 5.30 this morning! wore a black strapless shift dress and leggings with pumps, make up was strong black eyeliner top lid only, the brightest pink cheeks and MAC red lips

so as i was approaching the counter, the woman somehow knew who i was and came over, she was awesome we said our hellos then i showed her my portfolio, she really liked the images, said they were strong and i seemed very creative...

now, i had expected to have been given a look to copy... and then she said 'ok im going to go and get you a model heres the brief... you have 20 minutes to do a full face, it has to be trend focused, season focused and highlight a particular area of the face'..... well i nearly died!

i went straight to the untamed stuff and grabbed the four pallette (im not as good as you guys with all the names so bear with me) i decided to focus on eyes, i also got together a kinda peachy gold eyeshadow, black fluidline, black zoomlash, a peachy toned blush, cremespice liner, a nude lipstick and a creamy lipglass (wish i knew names)... when the trainer came back i asked her to help me with foundations (i didnt know the nc nw stuff and she was great with that)

so i did the models full face while being asked a TON of questions and thinking all the time that i only had my 20 mins... she was asking what i loved about mac, do i remember why i started loving mac, what my fave make up era was, my fave make up artists, inspirations, where i buy my clothes, what colour would i describe mac as....?? loved that one haha...

after wed done she asked me to talk her through every bit of make up id done and come up with a name for my look... it was 'autumnal romance'... god knows how i thought that one up

there was loads more questions and when wed done she asked if id like her to talk through my portfolio some more which was great as we just sat and chatted for a while...

i hope i get the position because it seemed to go so well!!!!!! i want to know NOW!

oh she also said she absolutely LOVED my style, my hair and my make up all in the same breath which i found quite comforting

There are no MACs near me, closest is London or the London airports [which are like, 50 mins away from me]

Just wondering; do you need to study cosmetology/beauty therapy at college or go to a cosmetology school to be able to apply at MAC?
Or is it all experience?
I've always wanted to know about that in the UK, but I always feel weird asking the girls/guys at the counter haha
