Hi all!!

I'm really excited about tomorrow - its my store approval interview to work at Beales in Bournemouth on the Benefit counter!! I'm really excited and nervous but kinda confident as well lol. Theres a bit of a back story to the whole thing.

I was meant to start on a brand new counter in Beales, Poole, back in February/March time. Obviously that didn't happen due to Poole being wierd or something - I was never quite told the backstory to it just that the date was being pulled back and back and back. I was prepared to wait though as really really want to get into makeup!! So I finally got a call out of the blue saying someone had just quit in Bournemouth central.............did I want to be put forward?? Hell yes!! lol. I had to keep quiet at work all afternoon lol.

Now the store approval is tomorrow, with a view to start on Monday if all gos well, so fingers crossed. I just wanted to know if anyone could give me any advice?

-Has anyone been for store approval at a Beales or House of Fraser or similar? What are they like and what do they ask?
-I'm wearing a black linen pair of trousers and black linen suit jacket with a nice top. Is that ok do you think?
-A cheeky question!! Do any English BeneBabes know how much the starter pack is when you start? I've been told a couple of different things and am now confused

-Any more general hints tips or advice??

Hey I can't really help you out there I think they'll be general customer service questions and perhaps even a question as to why you want to work in their store? Maybe? Apparantly store approval is easy and they say the Benefit Interview is the hard part!

How long was it after your audition did you find out? Just I had mine last Friday and am just waiting to know when I'll be going for store approval! x

I found out like 2 weeks later, but like I mentioned have been waiting for 5 whole months for the damnable job lol!! Don't go by that though, a lot of external factors happened which messed up the schedule.

No way Bournemouth, my ex lives there (still good mates with him) when I next go to see him (he's at uni there) I'll definitely have to stop by the Bournemouth counter and pick up some stuff haha! x

Small world!!!! Hellah yeah stop by and see me - I'll be in Beales which is kinda posh so a bit nervous lol. They also have a large MAC stand so you can kill a godd few hours there!!

You'll have to PM me if you come down it would be nice to meet another Specktrette! Bournemouth is beautiful too

I start training in Guildford on Tuesday. I am so bloody happy right now!!!

Thanks guys!! Sorry I didn't reply sooner, been feeling dead to the world after each shift lol. It is amazing so far, traffic stopping is meh, but we knew it would be really. Other than that, loving it!! My feet aren't though. Im thinking its a step closer to being on MAC so its all good.

Day off today, so am realxing.

I worked for Benefit before joining Mac so I can't complain, but I'm so glad I left them. Some of the products are really lovely and some of them I just don't understand how they sell. And the system did my head in but if you pursue it and do well then that is going to help you in the long run. Good luck! xx

Glad ur lovin it! No not yet, been 2 weeks now so I don't know whether to phone Beth (the Benefit girl who employs in that area) and just ask what's happening basically. Coz I got to the 2nd interview stage after my interview so from what I've read on here that pretty much means I just need store approval as I was asked what store I want to work in and how much I'd be earning etc.. So hmm. Bit confused really. x
