If you had to work in the cosmetic or beauty retail field, what would be your idea of working in the ultimate job and please say why.

If you already do work in the field, then elaborate on your dream job.

retail? well, there are only SO many titles and positions in the retail world. right now, working as a mua and sales associate at mac, my "dream" job would be to be a beauty editor for a fashion magazine. i love writing, love beauty and the fashion industry... but i know it is a LOT of work and you can be working 15 hr days when working for a magazine.... but that would be cool, also moving up in MAC and maybe doing some corporate work, possibly marketing. those are my aspirations! eep!

I wish I could leave my corporate job and just work at a mac counter... I would love my job and actually not have to force my self to work daily!

I'd absolutely love to be a permanent MUA at a MAC pro store or even become a senior artist. Now that would be pretty sweet...

but I have to be a doctor instead, Meh

Ditto. I am actually in the process of becoming a trainer with Sephora, and it's what I have wanted to do for years now.

I'd like to move in store operations management or into inventory/stock controlling.

I'm a Type C/logic driven person; I'm more or less born to drive a desk.

OR I'd like to be a proper trained nose for perfumes. I'm quite 'good' with getting fragrances for people just based on what they like already and knowing where else to look. I'd love to have that extraordinary sense of smell so I could be a perfumer. Alas..;(
