Re: Mystery MAC Pigments [Help!!!]
I'm curious as to what the pigments were trying to mimic in terms of color names though. What does the receipt say the colors are?

Re: Mystery MAC Pigments [Help!!!]
^^ Those do seem similar to the colors, but there is still a difference.

Re: Mystery MAC Pigments [Help!!!]
It's really weird though.
If the boxes are fake, how could the UPC stickers be scanned?
The pigments are fake for sure.
But I can't help feeling that the original poster's story doesn't exactly add up either. I AM NOT accusing the original poster of anything. Being as how I can't know the whole story because I'm not the original poster, I'm going to leave the store a benefit of doubt as well until something comes back from corporate obviously. I can't make a judgment unless I know both sides.
If they did sell you fake pigment though, I hope you get a full refund and a real one of each one in return. =)
EDIT: No, to word myself better. The whole story just sounds strange and off to me. That's all. I think there's something missing in the story. Something that the poster didn't tell us. Doesn't mean she's lying, but left out info.

Re: Mystery MAC Pigments [Help!!!]
Ok Sorry To Say But Here It Is. I Don't Think Any Mac Store Will Sell Fake Pigments That Just Not Sounds Right. What I Think Is That This Girl, Just Wants To See If Any Of You Guys Fall For It Being Real Mac Makeup, So That She Can Sell It And Get Away With It. Hmm... Did You Notice That When You Guys Asked Her Where She Bought It At She Kinda Lagged In The Reply..anyways Just My Opinion I Didn't Want To Sound Rude Or Anything. Do You Guys Think I'm Crazy For Thinking That?

Re: Mystery MAC Pigments [Help!!!]
Um, yeah... how could the MA know what boxes to give you? Did she open every single one of them and looked at the color? Because I believe (I don't know for sure because I never visited MAC free-standing store) they don't have labels on drawers the m/u is in, just on the boxes... right?
And also, how could it be scanned?

You'd be surprised! The 3 fake pigments that I have sitting in my drawer now have barcodes PRINTED on and it does scan when the MAs tried it. I brought it to the MAC Concept Store and the MAs ooh and aah over the fakes but that was last May so they should be well aware of fake pigments. I didn't know what it scanned up as but the MA told me the printed barcodes worked.
Now with the updated fakes, its even worse because they are sticker barcodes. The batch codes on the labels on the bottom of the jars even matches the batch codes on sticker barcodes. So its no doubt that they copied different barcodes for each shade and stuck them under the counterfeit MAC pigments' boxes.

Re: Mystery MAC Pigments [Help!!!]
If it's not Electric Coral, perhaps it can be Acid Orange.
