Re: Mystery MAC Pigments [Help!!!]
Wow! I think she was sold these off ebay and wanted to try and get her money back from a MAC store. The whole story didn't add up to me either. Good work ladies!

Re: Mystery MAC Pigments [Help!!!]
Actually, in retrospect, I think both answers are right. She probably bought them off of eBay and for some reason can't get a refund (maybe a cash transaction, not Paypal?). She probably plans on doing to someone else, what was done to her, by reselling them on eBay herself. She just needed names for the listings.

Re: Mystery MAC Pigments [Help!!!]
What a despicable thing to do in posting a false story like that….It sullied the SA/MAs in Georgia and MAC’s good name and reputation. When I read the OP’s first post, I was tempted to tell her I didn’t believe her story right away. But I decided to read the whole thread before responding and was glad I did. I’m so glad we were not fooled by this liar.
Way to go everyone!
And DAMN, to think she may try to sell her fakes here, eBay or MUA, etc….

Re: Mystery MAC Pigments [Help!!!]
The part of the story that I found so weird was when she said her trip to Florida this weekend was going to turn into a trip to Atlanta....so you had a trip planned, and all of a sudden you are going to go to Atlanta instead? That just sounded so odd to me.

Re: Mystery MAC Pigments [Help!!!]
MY BAD... I hadn't read all the way to the end before posting a suggestion for the OP. Shame on that person if they're trying to pull a fast one.

I agree with lsperry! I was tempted to call BS in the beginning as well but I thought I would give the OP sometime to explain. Big props to the first person that called her out! You have a lot more guts than I do but you were dead on!

Re: Mystery MAC Pigments [Help!!!]
i was wondering how can a MA pull out boxes of pigments without knowing what they were?? that didn't make sence at all!!
No one would pull out a boxed pigment from a shelf and not read the name of it and sell it to the buyer! Ofcourse you should make sure it is what the buyer wants!
how can the OP accuse MAC employees of selling fakes and not actually *looking* at what they are selling other people???

Re: Mystery MAC Pigments [Help!!!]
i also think she bought the pigments from ebay or something... and wants to resell them and hope nobody will notice
even if there was a problem with the pigments... i doubt ALL 8(? too lazy to go look again) would have the sameee problem. once in a while you get something flawed but ALL of them? lol
anyone who purchases without learning/even hearing the names are idiots. lol seriously, the first thing i do when i look at MAC is look at the colour and then the name at the bottom... and swatch... if the label is rubbed off, i would ask. i dont know how anyone can seriously walk out the door with 8 pigments and not wanna know what they are called
please be an honest person and post in the counterfeit section. if you (poster) did get scammed, please dont try to scam someone else. you are feeding the chain and im sure you didnt enjoy being scammed so why do it to someone else?
this is silly

Re: Mystery MAC Pigments [Help!!!]
1)I don't do buying/selling on ebay. Ebay has never been trusted by me and I have never used it. It is so overrated.
2)The pigments will not go on Ebay because again I don't use it.
3)My camera will not focus on the reciept. It focused on all of the wrinkles in it instead.
4)It took so long for me to do this post because I was in fact sleeping. I was on this thread well into the early hours. So i decided around 2 this morning to wrap it up, say all of my thank yous, and call it a night. [Well morning]
5)I can actually thank who ever it was for pointing out there is a MAC store in Columbus, GA. I have never been there and driving 70miles is a whole hell of alot better in my opinion than driving 200miles. My business will be there form now on. So I thank you.
6)The pigments were taken back by myself and the same friend that was with me when I purchased them. I was given a full refund of money and a free shipping code for online purchase. I was told that I am the 3 case of this since early 2007, and the pigments would be destroyed after Corporate looked at them. The MA that sold me the pigments was in fact working today. She said that had I asked for the pigments by name she would have not been able to sell them to me because they are only in MAC Pro stores. The barcode scanned like normal because it was coded with the other pigments.
7)And the boxes were messed up on my part. Not MAC's. After being toted around the Lenox Mall and sitting in a overly packed suitcase for 3 hours its a wonder they werent messed up even more.
Any more questions? It is only 10:30 here so I should be on another hour or so But I am getting a little tired though and I do still have the drive back home in the morning....

Re: Mystery MAC Pigments [Help!!!]
Yeah, I sure do have a few questions.
1. Why did you said you bought the pigments at the FREESTANDING STORE in Atlanta, GA when there's not a Freestanding store? There's only counters in ATL. If there's a freestanding store there, let us know--yeah, the address too because you never know there's someone out there who's reading this thread that would love to visit ATL one day soon and visit a freestanding store rather than a counter.
2. If you were unable to take pictures of the receipt, perhaps can you scan it? If you don't have one, maybe ask a friend, cousin, aunt, uncle? If they don't have a scanner, you can try your best again to focus your camera to take the picture of the receipt. If you don't know how to do that, you can google up to look up a manual on how to do that for your camera.
3. Why did you even ask us to identify the name of the 8 pigments in the first post when the receipt shows the name of the pigments?
4. So where did you returned the pigments at again to get your full refund? The Columbus, GA location? That's awesome you got your refund so lucky for you.
