ok after looking at all my paintpots and realizing that i definitely use the matte ones a lot more I think I am only going to get dangerous cuvee...my bare study is way older than my soft ochre and soft ochre is almost gone while bare study is full...

with that said, i'm definitely getting the two highlight powders and all four lipgelees...

I'm up in the air about the paint pots. 'Never had any. The Mac paints in the tube crease like a mofo on me so I never paid the pot version any attention - is it the same formula as the regular paints or is it a little drier/thinner? That's probably the only way they could work on me.

I like the idea of them but don't particularly need an eyeshadow base - I have a frosty white gold creme eyshadow base from a company that's not around any more that I'm just about hitting pan on (would use it as a highlight or lid color when wearing heavy liner all the time), so it'd be nice to have something to replace it with. I guess these fall in the category of "nice but not necessary" for me, but I have pent up makeup buying urges :p

I find the paint pots waaaayyy better than the regular paints. They're much more solid and less prone to creasing, at least in my experience. They work as a shadow or as a base and, while they don't ever tend to be what you'd call sheer, the intensity can be built up. I love my Blackground p/p as both a colour and a base. I use Painterly every day as a base and I find that it is great for keeping shadows put throughout the day, stopping them from creasing and keeping the colours truer (i.e., no fading). I swear buy 'em.

These ones seem to be ones that you'd wear more as shadows themselves rather than as bases, so I'd only get them if you're into the colour for itself.

liba, my internet twin... lol..

MAC paint pots are not all the same -- the base colours are the core of the product... colours such as painterly, soft ochre are heavy feeling when in the pot, but can be thinned easily on application and they have more durability than the paints. The paints do crease more easily. If you don't need an ES base, the frosts in this collex are really really frosty -- a total pass for me and all I did was test them on others and not myself. I have enough going on with my eyeballs to have them be that glittery.

Just buy more gold.. lol

I haven't had a big MAC shopping trip since To the Beach, but I think Cham Pale might call for a shopping spree, as I have pale skin.

I plan to pick up:
- Chilled on Ice Paint Pot
- Tinted Lip Conditioner (LOVED Feelin' Good last year)
- Feline
- Bubble Lounge Lipgelee (might be too sparkly, need to see it in person)
- Soiree Nail Lacquer
- Complete Comfort Cream (?)

Does anybody have any opinions about the Comfort Cream? I have sensitive skin, which gets quite dry in the winter but I also get acne. From the description of this product, it might work for me, but it's expensive!

Yes, I want to know to and I wish it wasn't so expensive! I might have to buy it later on instead of with my Cham Pale/Stylishly Yours haul.

I collect PP's so I'll definetly get them ! :)
However I must say, the swatches made me a bit bummed.
They don't seem too pigmented, and I had thought Dangerous Curvee was more grayish.. o_O
yes i was expecting it to be more gery! this upset me too!

Does anyone know when they are being released in the UK? Is it at the same time as the US?

I hope not, as I'm away at my parents' at Christmas, and even though I could place an order I probably wouldn't be back home before the goods were delivered

again, I want to remind you all that the base is Bare Study.. which is not too pigmented... there are colour pigments in the pps which give them the peach, champagne, grey tones.. but these are not heavily pigmented.
