Well,

I think I'm going to pick it up just to add to my collex. I have Golden Lariat and it is beautiful. For those who are going to purchase it you will not be disappointed!

I'm scheduled for an "event" today so I can play around with items then but most of this collex is still a pass!

Love the packaging though!

Secret Identity is such a beautiful color. Feels good on and looks great on NW43/NC43 and higher in those ranges. Highly recommended!
I really wonder how it compares to Gaga II outside of size of course.

BeautyByLele: Heroine looks good on you. I am going to check it out. I don't do frosts like that, but it looks like a good brown. I'll see soon.

UPS sucks. More than they ever have. I won't even get into the ugly, nastiness on their part. Being told by someone in Central America that my weather isn't driveable right now and UPS isn't shipping in my zip code. omg. u kidding me?? (this morning just took the cake. 63 minutes on the phone... it got a bit ugly. I HATE when people refuse to listen to simple logic, and HATE confrontation like this). Beyond reading from the tracking site, and then being told by the investigation department that I would have to wait until Monday for them to do anything about a package with no activity for 8 days? Poor, poor customer service. and I've been nothing but understanding with them. until today.

Anyway. 3 packages (2 from MAC) are lost (but UPS won't say they are lost, and refuse to open an investigation, again, are you kidding me?) MAC is resending the 2 that UPS "didn't lose".
And overnight (!!!), and there is going to be a Mighty Aphrodite. So the MAC lady says. I told her I loved her, btw.

I kind of will believe it when I see MA. But I've also accepted that if it doesn't ever get here, or gets here broken, I'm not chasing after it. I've done that too many times to go nutty and spend this much anxiety.


Anyway, I had to vent, and share my good news (I hope it's good). I just didn't know whether or not to go to Nordstroms today (and probably buy 4 times as much as my plan), or try to get this shipping resolved.

I'm going right after work. I'm wondering if I need to have them put a MA blush on hold for me???? I'm nervous....

I'm heading to my local counter after work today, and I'm super excited

. But I do have a really small list that I'm hoping for: Marquise'd and Spitfire l/s I'm definitely getting and Wonder Woman l/g is a maybe. (I crossed Athena's Kiss l/g off my list when I saw a swatch of it next to Hot House from VV, they're just too similar so I don't think I need both.

So, I picked up a few things at the MAC store this morning....MA, GL, AK, and I walked down to Macy's for AP since they didn't have it in the store. After seeing more pics and reading some of the posts here, I think I'll be making another trip by the end of the day LOL

I chatted with the MUA @ Macys who informed me that they'll be having a WW event next week....WTH? By tomorrow most of the collection will no longer be available, I'm sure. I told her that sucks for people who have appointments, expecting to purchase items from the collection. They're all booked up and these ppl will not be able to purchase the products being tried on them. Instead, they'll have the option of choosing 'dupes'. Sucks for the customer who really wants exactly what was put on them but it's great for MAC since they'll be able to upsale some of their perm stuff. Then again, maybe some ppl won't mind having 'dupes' as long as it's the look they desire. Idk....Just thought I'd share

Ok so this is my total haul from today:
Both MSF (because I collect them) LOVE LOVE LOVE Pink Power
I got Mighty Aphrodite love it too
Emancipation lip glass love it (I got Wonder Woman previous I liked it but Emancipation is more an everyday colour I wear.)
I caved and got the Valiant quad the MA had it looked so nice I had to.

Online previously I got:

Defiance Quad (mixed feelings on it)
Amazon Princes (Love it!)

I am done for buying makeup until new MSF's come out.

I ordered Amazon Princess, Mighty Aphrodite, Heroine and Marquise 'D at 5:15 this morning before work. I got my confirmation email, and what do I see? Two Amazon Princess' no Mighty Aphrodite. Never mind that MA was the first item in my cart. Ofcourse the customer service lines don't open until 9 and after over an hour after placing it, it was impossible for me to change the order so I just had to order Mighty Aphrodite over the phone, no shipping thankfully. I'll have to take back the other AP when I get it (which I hate b/c I believe they have to throw those away). So hopefully that will be all of the Wonder Woman adventure I have until my packages arrive on Monday. I'm really excited though, it'll be like an extra Valentine's Day gift.

Hmm - just a thought - if a store is having an event shouldn't there be additional product set aside for the event or shouldn't there be more product provided for that event?

^ I was thinking the same thing. But the MUA said that what they have is what they will have because there's not gonna be another shipment...such a shame.

It took forever for my order to get to me. I ordered the first day, second day shipping but it still took a week because of the snow storms.

My two cents about the MSF's is that if I was on a stranded island I would take both b/c I could do my whole face (e/s, cheeks and foundation). For my skin tone, NC50 in winter Pink Power is lovely and Golden Lariat in the summer. The big packaging and red brightness is so comical, I like it even more but I won't be leaving this out on my desk for my co-workers to see it, I just don't even want to have the conversation to explain it.

Mighty Aphrodite is so freaking beautiful but I do wish just a tiny bit that I had more of the darker coral than the lighter peach or if it was evenly.

sss215 - I ordered Sea and Sky. See above about compulsive internet shopping and free shipping codes.

Sea and Sky. The mother of all blues. You can now just laugh at all the other blues when you get it.

Well,

I went to one of my local MAC stores today for their so called event and what a blast it was.

Not many people were in the store around 10 am but when I sat down in the chair around 10:55 am people were rolling in for their WW goodies. Stuff was selling out hand over fist!

The mua used the defiance quad on me. I noticed that she used the 242 brush to pick up the shadows - not one of the fluffy ones. I wasn't impressed. These shadows are easily dupable so it didn't go home with me.

I hardly purchase e/s quads anyway, since I enjoy creating with my own quads.

Instead of making off with Heroine l/s like I thought I would, Marquise'D made its way into my bag. This is not a shade I would usually purchase but the mua tried it on me - love!

I decided to skip emancipation l/g and use something I already own.

I did pick up the pink power msf since I collect them. Boy what a whopper! And pretty! She blended them together and wow - how lovely on NC45 skin!

It was funny when the mua noticed that the blush compact had a mirror but the whopper didn't. cheap cheap cheap!

She tried the MA blush on me but I decided to skip.

It is pretty, yeah, but I have enough goodies to keep me happy for a while since I am having surgery at the end of the month and will be stuck in the house for six weeks.

All dolled up an nowhere to go!

Oh, like I mentioned before - if you want the PP msf you better hurry - there are not a lot of them to go around!

You all are not kidding about Sea/Sky.

It is a beautiful blue.

I hope MAC doesn't discontinue.

One thing - it does tend to smudge so I tend to use it on the outer eye.

Lovely, though. Just lovely!

Sea/Sky is gorgeous. I put the light side on the inner lid and blended the darker side from the outer lid to meet with the light. Then Deep Trth in crease and a lil Carbon to the outer v.....GORGEOUS!

So I called my Nordies counter today to check on my pre-order for Pink Power MSF and Mighty Aphrodite blush, and they never received any of either of them!!! Ugh. So disappointing. I really wanted to at least get MA since it has worked for so many ladies here. Oh well. I guess I'll just have to be satisfied with my AP blush, which I love.... so maybe it will be enough.

Anyone else run into this problem at a counter today??
