thanks for the info...i'm looking forward to checking these out! esp. good to be bad...but i have to say i don't really like most of the lipstick names lately, i think they're getting a bit lazy!

do you know if the collection is already in the stores, or only pro?

Thanks for all info, pics, reviews, links, etc!

I'm glad these are permanent. I'll buy one in a very wearable shade and use it regularly for a couple weeks to see if it agrees with my lips and also how well the product holds up since the texture seems to be a bit of a concern. I'm thinking Ultra Darling will be my first purchase:)

Has anybody tried these with a brush? I tend to use a lip brush with something that's soft and pigmented but not all formulations work well with a brush.

Edit: I totally agree that the naming is weak. MAC names have generally been disappointing lately.

It's only in pro at the moment- next week everyone will have it.

Great images! I wasn't as impressed, although I should add, in case I seemed negative earlier, that I did like them- they're soft, glossy and have intense pigmentation- I just didn't love them as I thought I would.I do agree that they are very moisturizing and, having worn one for a while, while the colour needs to be reapplied after eating, etc. I found that it stayed place better than a regular gloss.

I think that our different experiences with the texture have to do with proximity to heat. There were lights around in the store and those were apparently enough to cause the product to soften considerably. When I tried mine at home, they were soft, but workable, whereas the ones at the store just deposited a large blob of colour as soon as you tried to use them. Keeping 'em cool is obviously important.

Someone else had asked about using a lip brush and I think that, when the weather is warmer, that would be an excellent idea.

The review is finished and posted, with pictures of each color applied: http://www.allurabeauty.com/?p=3376

My thoughts, in short, are:

1) These are exactly what they claim to be--pigmented colors you'd expect out of a lipstick that are also gloss-like in their finish
2) They are soft, so you do have to be a little careful not to squish them too hard, but I didn't think it was a huge problem. Just treat them more like you would a soft chapstick. And, yes, it's probably a good idea to keep them out of the heat.
3) The application is similar to an emollient chapstick. They glide on very easily and smoothly. I didn't have a lot of trouble applying (even while trying to apply them quickly for the review). As long as you're careful and not in a big rush, you shouldn't have a problem applying the color precisely.
4) They are super moisturizing.

Personally, they're one of my favorite lip products MAC has come out with. You get color, sheen, and moisture, all in one.

Favorite color is Ultra Darling <3.

i think im overwhelmed by the three groups of swatches from Sheen Supreme, Cremeblend and Jeanius. Its too much for one day. Hah. And also the excitement for seeing the packaging for SB! Hah!

Thanks katred for the information. I think I'm much calmer now and will get two to try out. Maybe I'll try them together with a blush and gloss from Jeanius. But as WW has still not come out here yet, it will be a long wait.. I'll just sit here and read (and get excited) all your reviews!

I agree. It's pretty darn cold here, even though I'm on the west coast.

squeals!! I love the color bare for a nice nude look, but hate it for the reason you stated. Bare Again is probably going to be the first color I get!!!

I saw these today during my trip to Pro. They are like upgraded slim shines without all the mush. If you liked Slimshines you will love these.

Some of these colours are looking very different to what I thought they would be.

I added a link to part 2, probably while you were posting your reply lol

I was planning on skipping this collection but Temptalias description for Bare Again seems right up my alley... I love Hug me lipstick but its a lil bit sheer and she said its more opaque than hug me. She also said its lighter than Kinda Sexy, Rosier than Cherish.. both lipsticks that i also have and i was lookin for something lighter than Kinda Sexy and something close to Cherish with a lil more pink in it.... Sounds so great for meee!
