The Temptalia swatches make me sad. I was looking forward to this collection. I haven't hauled since Venomous Villains.

I will go swatch though. I probably won't buy anything, but I'll swatch.

I think I've changed my mind about Candy Yum Yum. It had been top of my list, but having seen it on Temptalia, I just know it would be way too bright on my pale face. Maybe if I was a youngster, but I'm 45 now and it would just look silly. Quite Cute makes her look ill, in my opinion, and I think it would probably make me look almost dead. I'm looking forward to swatches of Play Time, as I have my hopes pinned on that one.

The quad is still a possibility, but I'm skipping the glosses. I'll stick with Soap & Glory's "Sexy Motherpucker" glosses.

I do want to see these lip pencils, though.

Mac's been making it so easy to skip collections I'm actually getting good at it. Already skipped Cham Pale, Wonder Woman and Jeanius (well that was easy, it wasn't launched here) and I might skip this one too.

I'm soooo disappointed :(
Not even sure I like Candy Yum Yum now and that was the one I was really expecting to love. Christine mentioned it pulls blue on her lips and I already have pinks that pull blue on me. I don't know what I was expecting but it wasn't the shade I'm seeing. Is it too 80s for me? Maybe, I don't know. I think I was hoping for a truer neon pink without that obvious blue undertones if that makes any sense. I prefer Madly Magenta to CYY, it looks quite glowing and neon on my lips and it's very creamy.

I really really hope Karla's, Allura's and/or Vampy's swatches will make me love CYY. I've been saving my B2Ms for it and now I feel Mac betrayed me :(

So far I'm not too keen on what I've seen on Temptalia. I'll have to swatch the quad and I will definitely get all 3 blushes just cause they're pretty, but so far the lipsticks and glosses are just meh. Maybe the other 2 lipsticks will be better, but if not, I might only get the blushes. Oh well, cheaper for me.

for a $ 14.50 lipstick, Candy Yum Yum is quite lovely if you don't have this range of colours and you want that hot pink look.

if not, it's easily dupeable too.. and the Blushes are still a pfft to me. I just saw the photos of T's site.. and the blushes give a meat locker look.. if you are darker, they will get ashier.

Sorry.

Uh, I'm starting to doubt Candy Yum Yum now. I definitely do have comparable colors, but I thought I would try a matte look. This despite the fact that I have naturally dry lips. Hm.

I have to say that I share the general sense of disappointment seeing T's swatches. I don't care for much that I can see on Karen's site either... Between that pic of Christine with the pale grey-violet lips (I normally think her lips look perfect) and the shot of Karen in Playing Koi... Let's say it didn't make me want to beat down the doors of Mac on the 7th to haul things. I will say, though, that I'm rejecting nothing out of hand until I see it in person. Both ladies are darker and warmer toned than I am and products aren't going to show the same on me as on them. Nowhere is that more true than with light blushes, so I'm not writing off either Sakura or Miss Behave. Funny, because today I was wearing Oh So Fair, which I know looked more like a highlighter on T's site, but which works as a blush on me for sure. And, while there were lots of terrible reviews for the WW quads, I didn't find them too bad at all, except for Lady Justice. I do really like Candy Yum-Yum... I do have a bunch of hot pinks, but this one does look different... Kind of a "cool hot pink"... Funny, I almost bought NARS Schiap today, but decided to wait in case I liked this one...

^ I am not liking how the products look on her skintone.. there are just so many better things out there that would look nicer! Playing Koi looks so concealer :(

Ummm im unsure about Play Time, it looks nice on her but I already have Up the Amp, and imo I think they are in the same color family. Now im thinking about passing on this l/s as well.

Now I am curious about the lip liners . . . . . Do any anybody with a darker skin tone like (NC45 and up) have any of these lip liners (Boldly Bare & In Synch) ?? If so how do you like them are they something to consider buying ??

this is so disappointing.. like most pple, after seeing temptalia's swatches, i felt so depressed. (but my wallet is breathing so much easier). Looks like I'll only be getting
Giggly blush
In Synch l/l
Naked l/l
Playing Koi l/s
(maybe) Bubble tea p/g (just for the cute name)..

no more quad for me..
