well I have a new product which is not to market yet.. and that damn thing should have been put out before these balmy/ls were put out -- or with it.. but no, the creative directors are being pushed by the bean counters and this is the mayhem.

this product lines your lips invisibly and you can also invisibly (like a primer but it seeps into the lip) holds onto whatever product you are using.. it is supposed to be for the new matte lips for fall/winter 2012.. but it would be perfect for now.

oh my word this sounds amazing! and yes why do we have to wait for such an awesome sounding product?!

So here's where I have "some" of my cosmetics. It's an old dentist cabinet from the 1940's, I picked it up at a flea market.

So I went to an out of the way Chanel counter and they didn't have the summer collection. I did get to swatch the hell out of the lip shines, though. I want to get boy, Monte-Carlo and rebelle. Boy looked surprisingly nice on my skin. I didn't go for it today though because I wasn't sure what else I would do with my day but it will be mine soon.

Ernie.. that is gorgeous! Congrats!

Shontay.. wonderful.. now you're in trouble.. I stuck to my three.. and not one more. The whole trend will change come August.. all mattes, velvets and such.. this is getting rid of excess Aqualumieres.. lol

Worth a backup and a giveaway. STUNNING and completely idiot proof. Topping my list, with Boy... Sari d'Eau... Bel-Ami and Bonheur. I'm getting them all... just not all at once. I'm doomed. Summer Collection is here next week. Crap.

Bonitinha, yes maam.. same goes for the CD ls addict.. renamed and reissued from last summer's stuff too.

Ingenue, that looks pretty.. but you could beat me with a wet noodle, it doesn't look like anything on your lips -- you must have naturally gorgeous lips..lol

HerGreyness I WISH I had natural looking lips like that!!! Thanks! That's what it does though... it amps your own lips by adding just a little nude, a little flush pink, and a little shimmer. That color is ridiculously stunning. I thought I was going to go pale and ashy-shimmer on me...but it warmed my lips right up. It's completely awesome.

I don't know if there is something wrong with me now, or if I am so jaded looking at so many products -- past, present and the future of mu.. I am just not feeling these ls too much.. especially the Chanel ones. I think Shiseido put out a much more cohesive and innovative product.. CD is just repackaging and reissuing imo.. although I got a few that I did not have from last year. And, the companies know full well that the trend will change by June/July.. it's just not ethical imo.

I know.. I will be banned from the Chanel threads for saying this heresy. I can take it --

Thank you! I tried it on my hand and it looked totally ugly. I bought it with the full intention of a possible return. lol But first I put it on in the car (on the way home) and was blown away. I almost turned around and bought another one.

And I have no liner on... nothing. Just Canotier.

I totally understand. I get like that with MAC.. too much ... and just when you get used to one thing, BAM, here comes another collection. Shiseido is underrated, and not specifically marketed (at least that's my take on the brand). Chanel has widened their gaze and their target market, and it shows. I'm waiting on Shiseido to catch up, because right now... they're just not speaking to me.

Ingenue, I hear ya.. I however heard Shiseido enough that I bought four of their new ls line.. whereas with Chanel, I only bought 3, and those were the most vibrant colours since I know full well that these would almost dissapear on my lips/face -- if not within an hour, then in an hour on the phone. pfft.

I'm going to take a gander at Shiseido on my next trip to Nordies... thanks for the heads up. I was very impressed with their Rouge Perfect lippies (which I found by accident, on my way to Guerlain)... but like I said... the marketing is... ehhh. I never get jazzed enough to give them any of my time, let alone my money. And I've found the sales reps to be bored with their own existence. lol Chanel reps are practically jumping up and down with fabulousness... not so much for Shiseido.

true that Ingenue.. however if you actually talk to a Shiseido SA, they are better informed about their line and will actually make good recommendations for you... I know one of the Regional directors and they are constantly educating their SAs for the whole line, which is quite extensive. On the other hand, many of us have had the misfortune of meeting up with Chanel SAs who look gorgeous and haven't a clue as to what's going on with their products.. it's funny.

I need to find a reigonal director or something.. because I tell you, the SA's at my local department stores are clue.less! LOL My Chanel connects are Beauty and Reigonal managers so I get most of my info from them. I don't even talk to anyone else. I have their cellies and they have mine, so when I'm chasing something down (like a discontinued formula/color) I can put them on alert and they'll try and get it for me.

I just looked at the new Shiseido lippies online. Iron Maiden has my name on it!

^ Iron Maiden was one of my first ls purchases from Shiseido's new colours -- I believe Elegant and Shypo have it too.. it is a gorgeous ls with lots and lots of pigmentation and I get a good amount of hours of wearing time from it. I also bought Brocade, Desire and Dragon.(?) .. and all are perfect. I am hoping the Chanel's wear as well or I will burn them in effigy.
