MAC - Semi Precious Discussion

Ow My List:

179 brush

Pressed Amber MB (I've been waiting for a rosy brown in the satiny Mineralize formula. So ready!)

All the Cremesheen Glasses (These colors are exactly what I want in a gloss now - rich, complex with the perfect blend of brown and cool undertones without being too "dirty", working for Summer into Fall/Winter, semi-opaque. I don't feel fabulous about getting so many, but all of these are going to work ridiculously well for me.)

Either none of the lipsticks, or possibly all of them, depending on how well they work with the lip glosses.

Quartz Fusion
Hint of Sapphire
Either Rare Find or Unsurpassable
Clarity (probably)

Semi-Precious Pink or Semi-Precious Pearl, depending on which one is most flattering for the largest amount of my face, since I've got enough MSFs I can only use as blush or highlighter. I want to be able to wear these all over with just a spritz of Fix+, along the lines of the MCLP.

I don't think I want to total this up at the moment........here's hoping I can whittle some of the lip products down.

Eh....I'm a bit underwhelmed. The lippies aren't particularly exciting. The MSF and cheeks...they're a maybe, but I need to see them on my skin first. They eyeshadows...I do have a lot of similar colors, but I still want to see them in person and give them a proper swatch.

Hey!! Long time no see! Hope you're doing well.

I'm really curious about these new brushes...

I don't understand why they're split? Does it give better performance? make it more multipurpose? Like for example.. that 234 blending brush... how will it be different from lets say the 217 or 222? As for the rest of the collection.. I'm only interested in
* Gem of Roses (maybe)
*musky amethyst
*Goldstone

split brushes are going to be more user friendly.. you use one side to do app and the duo fibre side to buff -- it's kinda like having a duo and not having to change brushes.

these brushes are a must have imo... especially if you are just starting your brush collections -- they will do double the work using one tool. hth

ok so your suppose to use one side at a time, i wasn't sure if you were suppose to use it all at once for this amazing coverage or something, still good imo

^ you can use either side.. but it makes more sense to use the regular side for application and the duo fibre for buffing/smoothing.

Yessssss. This will be so pretty for the summer. I haven't been a big gold fan until the overspray on My Paradise, but now I am hooked and I Goldstone is right down my alley. I just hope the glitter in it is not too chunky.

ok, so for those who'r wondering about creamsheen glosses being pigmented, they usually aren't. All the previously released ones wear sheerly but still gorgeous on top of lipsticks. They're my fave gloss formula ever (that and the Chanel glossimers) and I'm much more of a bold lipstick person that a gloss person. I still love these just coz of how the feel and look on.

Anyway, i will get ALL the glosses except for the bronzey one (Natural Flare?) as I don't know if i like bronze shades on my lips. I also will get the 235 brush, I'm very intrigued by it.

I was really excited for this collection when it was first announced but after seeing the promo pictures and looking at the swatches... I feel a little disappointed (maybe I hyped myself up too much). I thought the MSFs would wow me but I'm not a huge fan of the swirly bits being in the middle.

The brushes do look very intriguing, I'm interested to seeing them in person.

The thing I like about the Cremesheen Glasses, besides the really comfortable texture, is that the colors have a way of going on and hitting the light so that you see the color, but in a way where it's more like it's suspended within sheerness, rather than sitting right on the lips in a thick sludge.

I'd compare them to jelly-finish nail polish, but for the lips.

They're not all created equal, that's for sure, but there are some real doozies (I'm partial to Fashion Scoop, Richer Lusher, and the LEs from In the Groove - lol I have 3 tubes of You've Got It)

u totally hit it on the nail! that is exactly why I love them. My fave ever is Going Casual (I think it came out last year, who knows anymore with so many LE collex). I can't stop wearing that shade, it looks awesome on top of my all time fave MAC lipstick, Snob. I also love it over Nars Roman Holiday and Catfight and MAC Bubblegum and St Gernaine

hope so :)

Don't worry- it gets better. You're a fairly new MAC addict (so am I), but as time goes on, you get bored with the same shades over and over again and you find dupes in your collection and it gets easier to skip things. TBH, with most collections I don't buy anything. But, I did go through a crazy period where I felt like I would never have enough. I spent more than $200 three different times last year on collections (SCF, A+O, VV). Now I spend significantly less.

Today I've won 100 euro at the Super enalotto here in Italy so I can buy all the brushes (160 euro).. I'll probably won't buy nothing more from this collection although everything is really cute!!
So 179, 128, 234 and 235 will be mine!!
