MAC - MAC Me Over Discussion

I haven't worn mine out yet but when I tried it on for the first time, I paired it with MAC's Chestnut lightly. I also saw a recent Jackie O (lilpumpkinpie05) youtube video where she suggested a brown liner with a red lipstick and it was gorgeous. I'm usually a MAC NC50 for reference. It wasn't pink on me, just a very lovely red.

Go to around the 13:00 minute mark. She's using MAC's Cork liner with MAC's Ruby Woo.

Good luck!

rebel is a lipstick that i really want too! i figure i can wait though seeing as it is perm.. or pro. i can get it at any point. maybe even b2m for it! :)
Rebel is a great colour! I'm glad to see that it's getting a bit of love between this and the all-permanent Valentine's "collection" they did earlier this year.

Several posters have asked about the evil eye quad. I bought this quad the first week of release, and I really, really, really like it. I am rather fair (NW20 with a tan), and it lets me do a subtle smokey eye that is work appropriate. I like that I can build up & layer to get the look that I want. I don't understand the extremely poor ratings by the bloggers, and I have not had to scrape any of the shadows to get them to work. The pigmentation is fine & buildable. The colors are very pretty on. It is just a good basic quad to have in your stash.

I have basically been using this quad or HP every day, along with Prance & Creamy Bisque, to create my go to work look. Oh I also usually through some texture or moleskin in the crease. Sadly my SP shadows have been gathering dust b/c I don't have the time every morning to foil them.

I can see that this quad would be ideal for those who like subtle, less dramatic looks. I can't speak for everyone else, but IMO, I would rather have a really pigmented shadow and control the intensity with the brush and application technique.

I wore Carbonized all over the lid with Lucky Green on my bottom lashline for a cool pop of color. I need to mix browns and greens more often.

Everyone must own Mythical and Carbonized eyeshadows!! Carbonized makes a great outer V color! I have not used Mythical yet so I will have to try it with it tomorrow if I ever remember to do that.

The 3D Glitter is not eye safe. Did you order SP Goldstone? It's back. I hope you get it this time.

yup even i don't risk the 3d glitters on my eyes - the chunks are too big. although that said i think they reformulated them a good few years ago so they are a little less chunky now.

MAC Creamy Bisque eyeshadow - todays specktra blog post where i review creamy bisque :)

I really like it. If you are looking for a red that is really blue based, this might be worth checking out. Do you already own some red lipsticks? I already had Russian Red, but i was looking for a red that wasn't as bright and this is why i really love Runaway Red.
yes, i love that!

Here's my 'eye look' featuring Melon pigment, Mythical and Coppering e/s with Avenue fluidline. This is all over Rubenesque paint Pot with Lorac Behind the Scenes eye primer.

I usually put my FOTD up in my Tumblr stream.

Yesterday I work Outre with Hocus Pocus in the outer v and crease. (I got the idea from another Specktra member!) It was a good everyday look for me.

Broke down and ordered carbonized. I was using HP with mythical, but it is a little too cool of a color. I own all of the e/s except outre, and I wasn't going to buy any to begin with.
