^^ Sorry I have no idea. I will check to see if my counter still has this line.

So here we have the new cream foundation Vitalumiere Aqua. The displayer has two tweed blushes, Tweed Pink and, surprise, Tweed Brun Rose. Brun Rose is the blush that is supposed to come out in this holiday collection. I swatched it and it is like how it looks in the pan, a soft brown coral, and isn't muddy. It has an overspray of glitters like the other tweed blushes. It has 6 shades, all the lighter ones, from 10 to 30. At the moment 20 seems the best match for me. The compact is very classic, very chanel. The info is up on the Chanel website, and it says the shades are matched for Asian skintone. The model is my favourite girl at the moment, I'm so pleased chanel has stuck with her for so long. I'm in love with her looks!

I can’t wait to try the Vitalumiere Hydra, I hope I can find a colour match. Are the shades similar to the Vitalumiere Aqua or do they run lighter?

White Essentiel in 05 Beige Ivoire may be an option. Mat Lumiere in 02 Porcelain or 14 Ivory, or Vitalumiere in 07 Ivoire may be as well. (I think VA in B10 would be slightly too dark. Same with the outgoing Pro Lumiere in 10.)
Thank you for the suggestions. Is the Vitalumiere Moisture-Rich Radiance Fluid Makeup (US) and the Vitalumiere Satin Smoothing Fluid Makeup (UK) the same foundation? Sadly we don’t have Ivoire 07 in the UK, is it much lighter than Limpide 10?

I haven't try 020 yet, hope to do so this weekend or early next week. I did swatch VA and VH for 020 and 021 (ochre) side by side at the counter and they seem to be the same shade, of course VH feels creamier. An MA told me Brun Rose is LE.

I have eclat vitalumiere powder foundation in 020. It goes on a little darker than I like too, but I always have problems with powder foundation being darker.

I'm thinking the Vitalumieres are the same, just named differently. Ivoire is a smidge lighter; yeah.

I wore Vitalumiere Hydra in 20 today. Love the texture, and the smell is very faint, so it won't bother those of you who don't like strong scents. I wore a primer from chanel's whitening range, so with 20 it wasn't too dark for me. I shall try it without the primer next. I like the finish, and it seems to give heavier coverage than Aqua. I think the best thing about Hydra is we don't have to shake the bottle like Aqua before using it. :p

Thank you for your review Miss QQ. I actually like the scent of Chanel foundations and hoping to get a nice match in this one. And it's great that you won't have to shake the bottle before use. Do you like the packaging more in general? I find it annoying when u get to the bottom of VA, hard to get the product out.

I think I'm a shade darker than u and cooler/pinker in undertones. Maybe if 20 is a bit dark for u it will work for me, I wear shade B20 in Vitalumiere Aqua which is great but slightly too warm on me, wish they made BR20 available here in Canada :(

Hehe, the shaking part is already part of my schedule and I use a different arm every day ;) Glad that you like it, I wonder when this shows up here and if it does, if it will have the 10 shade available like with the VLA.

ooo fun! Do you find that hydra has a better look on your skin?

i didn't have a good experience with vitalumiere aqua, but i've never really had any chanel foundations i've liked. i find that they accent pores & unevenness that i can't even see without foundation, which is super disappointing for me cause i always want to love chanel foundations! i have at least one friend that feels this way about chanel foundations. grr.

^^ Yeah I feel VH looks better on me than VA. But I haven't worn VA for a while so I plan to wear it the next few days and compare with VH.

Sadeeh - I wore 20 VH today without primer and it matched my skintone. So I guess you need something darker, maybe 30. Hopefully not in between shades again. My VH is a sample, which comes in a small pan like mac e/s and a tiny sponge. Not sure how I would like the real one. The sponge is in a separate top compartment and the foundation is at the bottom compartment.

bis - lol on the shaking. Good hand exercise. :) VH only come in 6 shades here, while VA comes in more, I think 8 or 9, or maybe 10 like yours.

MissQQ, do you happen to know if the VAH has a 10 shade? I like cream foundations, but the 20 shade only works after I was in the sun, so not really an option for most of the year. The sample they gave you sounds really like you get good use out of it. Here they give you samples only in shades like 30 or 40, no idea why.

There is! There are two: Beige 10, and Beige Rose 12. You can check it out here. 30 is the darkest shade for VH.

So strange to give out 30 or 40. Could it be that 10 and 20 get handed out very quickly, so they are left with the darker shades? Over here across brands they usually only have the lightest and/or the second lightest shade. Chanel has the darkers shades too, which they will give out as samples after a while to clear the inventory, as door gifts for makeover/certain makeup launch parties.

I wore VA today and fall in love with it again. Have been wearing MUFE HD foundation for a few months. I definitely love VA more than the HD, which is dry and gives almost no coverage to my broken capillaires.

Oh, thanks :) Somehow I was not expecting the site to be in English, no idea why :) Great to hear you are liking the VLA again, it's still my fav foundation as well. Regarding the samples, a lot of people do not like to have light skin and I guess that is the reason why brands like Chanel do not offer lighter shades here and why the samples are darker as well. I just hope Chanel gets a wider range of foundation colours in both direction soon.

:) Chanel updated the website last year. If I click on Other Languages, then English, it shows the different locations for us to choose. I read English much faster than Chinese characters lol. But Chanel chooses the most alluring words in all languages to make us buy the products. My favourite is still Teint Innocent fluid so VA is the next best thing since it replaced TI. TI gave me a flawless finish yet it didn't look heavy or that I put on a lot of foundation. I also like the scent. They always say the best items are discontinued, oh well. Off topic, Diorskin Extremefit, my second favourite foundation after TI, is also replaced by Diorskin Forever. I tried it and it's a no for me.

Does anyone know what's happening with Mat Lumière in Europe? They only have five shades listed on the website and the shade 05 Faince that I've been using seems to be gone

20 Clair is way too dark for me..

The Macys site here has only a few shades as well. I was thinking of trying this as I have oily skin and I need a really pale shade. I hope it's not going to be discontinued. Anyone know about this?

Chanel's US website still lists most, if not all, Mat Lumiere shades as being available. And it's only Pro Lumiere that's been discontinued, not Mat Lumiere. (Pro Lumiere is no longer listed on the US website.)

Some peoples' counters have told them that Perfection Lumiere combines the properties of both Pro Lumiere and Mat Lumiere and that's why both are eventually going to be discontinued. Time will tell I guess. It's not encouraging to see that the 2 darkest shades (Cedar and Walnut) of Mat Lumiere are now listed as discontinued on the US web site at the same time they're planning to offer a more expanded shade range in Perfection Lumiere:

http://www.chanel.com/en_US/fragrance-beauty/DÉJÀ-VU-89796

but maybe they're reworking the lightest and darkest shades? Faience is even being discontinued in Lift Lumiere.

^ I personally don't mind the two darkest shades being DC'd being that they're going from like 4 shades of brown to 10. As it seems there's an equal expansion on the lightest shades there should be something for everyone...makes sense if they're combining two lines into one big one. Here's hoping there's actually decent shade matches. I'd be curious if any of these could topple my beloved NARS Tahoe.
