I can relate. I always go to MAC and ask the MA's about upcoming collections -- for new details, and I end up knowing more than they do. I have many MAC items that I have yet to even use, but there are such great collections coming up, that I don't want to miss out on any and not purchase items, just because I have a lot of makeup already. I want all the lipsticks from this collection.
We are all in very serious trouble... HeeHee My Glitter & Ice products have barely seen there fair share of "face time" and we are already casting them aside for the next new thing! We must all have a makeup commitment phobia! I wish all Specktra peeps could form a community somewhere to live so we could all get excited about each others faces and enable each others hoarding tendencies... Because I often wonder if anyone else in the world cares if I'm wearing Semi Precious MES, a Fall Colour pigment, or a G&I Paint Pot except you guys! I stop by my MAC counter from time to time just to try to chat with one of the MA's about my obsession, only to have them look at me like I'm batty because I know WAY more about their products and launches than they do! I just think everyone here salavating over new lippies and shadows when we JUST ordered some is something only WE understand!

Ya. I'm in Madrid but the MUA's there are bullies! So rude, mean..they think they are neurosurgeons or something... They lied to my mom when I asked her to get something that I saw from a collex that i though would flatter her and they tell her a lot of BS. They said they were not getting Candy Yum Yum at all (lie), they told her Mac me Over was a collection from 2009.... I really doubt they are THAT misinformed...
When I've been there and I order something they tell me that's not what I need... like I went to get cromaline in marine ultra and told me "I have a suggestion for you, because that item is a pro color and you will not know how to use it, so take this blue liner instead" Like ETF! who are you to tell me what I can or cannot buy, apply, or know how to use...
Another time I asked for NC15 fix fluid and she brought me NW15. I said "excuse me but I said NC15" and she goes, yes but as a make up artist I'm telling you this is the one you want." lol

I hope you have a better experience there next time, but at least you have a Pro store close by, most of us only can dream about. You know anyway what you want, so no need to consult the sales people.
Alternatively, be super nice to them so you get sneak peeks and invitations to the parties. It might be worth kissing the MUA's butt.

I think that americans are so much nicer (salesmen/women at least)... and even though I have seen the "MACttitude" in stores here it is NOTHING compared to the Madrid one. Hopefully they changed the peeps since May (the last time I was there) and I can get to swatch around
