Cool, do you like it? I think Magenta is one of the gems of this collection.
Yes, I do! I have nothing like it. It's a bold & beautiful color and it definitely has a matte finish. I have a couple of errands to run today so when I do my makeup, I'll, definitely make sure to use this blush.

Got my lipsticks!

Reel Sexy is like neon creamscicle color- LOVE IT. Been waiting for a color like that for years. Goes with some of the neon clothing I have perfectly
but still works if the clothing is not neon.

Heroine is like Violetta but darker. Looks red in the tube but on me, it brings out the blue beautifully and does not stay red- I AM HAPPY with that.
Goes well with neon purple clothes. Same family as Violetta but a touch bluer and darker. The matte finish is wonderful just like Iris Apfel collection lippies were.

Pink Popcorn- Forget it. Going back. The quality is poor, the color is weak, and it shows every crease in the lips. Budding Love is MUCH nicer
and I was not even sure I was going to keep that one.
If you purchase stuff on the website can you return them to the store or at least exchange them?

I tried color saturation on at Nordstrom and LOVED it. Can't wait til I can take it home with me! Now - do I pre-order and wait until the 13th to pick it up?

(not a horrible choice, but I'm so impatient and want things NOW). Or stalk the website? My MUA also said I could call in on the 4th and she could try to set things aside for me. Decisions!

This whole collection is officially a skip for me (which is a good thing since I'm planning some major wallet damage in the other 2 LOL).

The only things I was interested in from here was Heirloom eye kohl, Private Screening l/g, and Pink Popcorn l/s. They all seem really "meh" from the swatches.

Duo 3 eyeshadow looks nice but I have e/s coming out the wazoo and don't need anymore...

Guys, just be mindful that if you return a product, it's a lost product that somebody else might have enjoyed. If you have to rely on online shopping, don't buy it if you are in doubt of a product. Or if you really don't like the product, sell/swap it.

(no personal judgement on anybody, just some well-meant advice so everybody can enjoy the collections).

Happy hauling.

When I went to Pro on Thursday this wasn't even on my list. I'm soooo happy I got it. You are absolutely correct this blush is something to get ones hands on. Now I have to hide it from my blush loving sister. If you see this post sis I'm talking about our other blush loving sister that doesn't exist.

i picked up magenta blush today!
not really sure how i'm going to wear it...the sales assistant applied it on me in the store, but i feel like it was a bit too all over the place for me, though the colour is good. i think i might try it just under the cheekbones or something?

The MUA at Nordstrom said the same thing, but i figured out ask someone at the MAC store when I go on later this week. Either way, I'll try to grab one as soon as they're online.
According to temptalia, lightscapade won't be permanent. Mac said no to her?

So what do you think about T review on Magenta? Also do you have to use a special/brush technique to make it work? Its starting to peek my interest but I need to be able to use it with a regular blush brush and it not require too much work...

I use it with the 131 and 109: As the synthetic hair at the center of the 131 is ever so slightly longer (forming a oval shape), it allows to apply color in one stroke, with a stronger pigmentation in the center (from the hairline downward towards the apples), but soft enough to look natural and fresh. Then I blend the edges with a 109. Using this technique almost gives an ombre effect. I wouldn't use much highlighter with Magenta (and this technique) so it doesn't take away from the berry-licious beauty of this p/b.

I like this technique with berry shades, as a full on regular application might give you a fever-ish look. You really want to achieve more of an ombre effect.

I hope this helps.
