MAC Casual Colour discussion

I've noticed in my experience that most of her pictures end up over-saturated to make them appear much more pink/red than they are in real life. For example, Nars Mayflower lipstick - she made it appear almost red in her pictures, but I have that lipstick and its much more pinkish-brown. Have A Lovely Day (I have it) is not even close to that pink in real life - so as far as the accuracy of color goes, Allura usually is more accurate.
I just ordered Have a Lovely Day. I wasn't going to get it once I saw Temptalia's swatches because I didn't want anything that pink, and then I saw Allura's swatches and I changed my mind.

Both LS and WG can give a very natural appearance.

ES, however, is not very natural looking at all, so you have to be committed to the looks you create with it. It was my #1 choice - if i only got one Colour creme, it would be ES. But i ended up with 3 - and maybe i'll get a 4th... Since all i got from Beth Ditto was 2 mascaras (purple & burgundy) and the light mauve lip, i guess i can spend what i would have spent on Shadow/Liner sticks on Casual Colour instead

Christine's pics always look bright, saturated, and pretty, but I agree Allura's are usually more accurate. When I compared Sunday Afternoon Pearlmatte Face Powder from Vera on both sites to mine, I thought wow! I still love both Christine and Allura. Their reviews help me all the time.

I'm still staying strong. I kinda like Weekend Gateway though.

Thanks to everyone for the swatches and pics! I've already tested them all, but i know seeing them on real people helps a lot.

I'm stupid excited about this product. After testing all the colors for 3 or 4 days, i miss having it on my cheeks today! And i can't wait to smear some on my lips

as for Weekend Getaway and Force of Love - I checked them out side by side. FoL is definitely a lot more bright neon yellow/orangey toned than WG. WG is just a warm rosy pink but its a lot more wearable and sorta muted compared to FoL. I really like it as a lipcolor - I wore it today.
Thanks hun !!

I usually don't even look at Allura's swatches anymore cause everything always looks so weird...extremely sheer, way too close up and like it's under a very yellow toned light. With most powder items, it looks like she has nothing swatched at all. Temptalia's swatches are always more accurate though they sometimes appear a bit more cool toned on her and more warm on me cause of me having very cool toned skin.

I am glad I did not buy anything from hey sailor so I can splurge a litte not o much though because of hc on this one. So probably three out for fun, keep it loose anD have a lovely day. ES really is tempting but I am not in the purple lippies mood ,those who have it is it similar to go for it? Probably will get dear diary from Beth ditto although not my fav formula but I buy anything that looks like or is even close to CYY.

Not sure if anyone's seen this yet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fgy5-R3Al8

I like watching her do live swatches.

I didn't even realize this collection will only be available on MAC's website. So I can't even use my giftcard I have for the site I usually buy from. So after all this going back and forth I'm skipping because of that, LOL.
It's online now, but all colours say 'coming soon', only two of the nail polishes are available.
Also nobody seems to care much about Beth Ditto, I don't think a lot of people here in Germany will buy from that collection. I can imagine this being the least popular collection of the year.
It's really only online? Not even stores?!
Boooo!

That decides it then - skipping for sure if I can't swatch them in person.
It's a pity, but I won't get anything from Beth too - I love her music, but her collection leaves me stone cold.

So much for all my declarations - I have similar colouring to T (I'm just a touch lighter and warmer toned) so I had to order the two I was immediately drawn to: Out for Fun (there isn't a coral I don't love and I'm already halfway through Ravishing l/g) and Keep it Casual (I knew I wanted a warm wine tone for fall).

I'm going to keep my fingers out of these and use alcohol cleaned spatulas; I just hope they'll last a year anyway. I couldn't chose because I knew if I held the KIC for fall and loved it it was far too late to go back for OFF.

I know. I'm weak.

(I skipped BD and will skip HC, so I'm convincing myself it's not ridiculously OTT given my recent blush buys).

Edit: I have a couple of empty MAC sample jars - I think I'm going to carefully scoop out some OFF and put it in one as a lip pot. I can't see me dragging the larger compact and a bunch of spatulas to the office with me to touch up makeup throughout the day, but I don't mind putting my finger into a little pot. If I just put a bit in a time, I don't need to be concerned it going off.

I ordered Out for Fun, Evening Stroll and Keep it Casual. 2 day shipping. Can't wait to play with them. I wonder how much use I will get out of these since I prefer powder blushes and lip products where I don't have to use my hands, but I really like these colors. Better safe than sorry, right?

I'd honestly buy all of these if I could afford to, so far I only bought Out For Fun and I'm definitely buying Evening Stroll and at least 1 more when I get more money...probably either Weekend Getaway or Relaxation. I wish these would have came out next month instead, I'd love to have my birthday money to spend on them.

For those who have received their orders, has anyone experienced any melting issues with these? I am nervous to order online because it is well over 100 degrees here already (AZ) and these look creamy enough to melt. The last few lipsticks I ordered barely made it to me before they started getting soft
