I guess I have somewhat participated in this collection as I own several of the lipsticks. Was wondering what the recommended lip liner would be for GAT? TIA!

Lucky! St Germain lipglass sold out really fast on-line here in the US so i couldn't get it. It's on Amazon now through a private vendor for US$45, and going on eBay for US$40. sigh.

I thought I would skip this collection. I have been to a few counters but they had hardly anything in the display. I finally made it to my regular Mac store and went for Spice lip gloss. I'm now wondering if I should have picked up the lipstick too. It looked a bit too rosy to me but I should have at least tried it on. Now I'm wondering if Ravishing or Razzledazzle would have suited me. I'm on a lipliner kick too. I picked up a lipliner due to BEE's rec. I'm now actually considering Chestnut lipliner. I planned to pass the Chestnut set since I like Shockolate but I figure that is a dark enough brown for me. I used to wear Chestnut lip liner quite a bit back in the '90s. But I got sick of it. I haven't worn it in years. The MAs always put it on so thick on me. I didn't like that look. But it looked nice this time around so I may just get it.

Most of the times I use lip liner i use it as a "corrector. To fix the outer edge of my already applied lipstick to make it more even etc. Sometimes I only need to use lip liner on cupids bow and outer edges.Most of the time i just put on lipstick from the tube. I've never gotten the hang of lip liners, although i've been trying to figure out how best to use them for over 30 years.
And i missed out on the whole 'lip gloss-only" craze of the past 10 or 15 years. I do have some old gloss pots - from the 80s, i think - but they were horribly thick and terribly sticky, and i wasn't really crazy about dipping my fingers into those sticky gloss pots over and over. If anyone thinks MAC glosses are too sticky, they don't know what glosses used to be like - MAC's are a light spring breeze by comparison.
So glosses in the 21st c. were new to me. First i tried several DS brands and they were horrendous. Either they had the disgusting texture of mucous and wore off in seconds - literally! Or they were crammed with hideously vile artificial fruit and/or candy scents and flavors that made me feel sick. I dunno, maybe i just didn't try the right DS brand. In any case, MAC glosses are infinitely superior, as are the ones i have from UD and NARS. I can live with a little light fake vanilla scent.
As for lipstick and gloss together: My lips have a decent shape and fullness. But i'm quite short (5'1"), so while my lips look good to me "face to face" in the mirror, most people will literally be looking down at my lips. And from that angle most of my upper lip kinda disappears - all that's left is the curve of the bow. So i like to give it my upper lip a bit of a boost with some shiny gloss to make it stand out. Not sure if it works, cuz i don't see myself they way someone 5'5" or 5'8" or taller sees me, but i try.
Other times I do the whole lip lined but thats only when I'm not gonna take the lippie with me. To be honest, in the hotter months I vote for NO liner at all! maybe to correct but not as a base and not before the lipstick. It's too much for this time of the year IMO

I did a look with strong eyes in blues & violets, with Blue Orbit ED e/s on my cheeks. To finish it i needed a nude-ish cool pink lipstick, but didn't have any. I have several neutral pinks that lean a tad cocoa, but that was the wrong color family. So i was in my local MAC and there were Snob and Angel...

I don't see anymore "Coming Soons" except for lipstick. Do you think they will restock any of the lipglasses considering this collection is out till June 28th? I really want St Germain Lipglass and I can't find any on ebay that ship to Canada!
