Good luck! Since you've been through it once, you know what to expect :) Make sure your makeup is on point! Well blended, wear lipliner, foundation looking flawless. Show your personality with your black clothing but don't go too over the top! Don't forget to post how it went :)

I'm baaack...lol I think it went really well! The manager who interviewed seemed to really like me. She asked me A LOT of questions about customer service and asked me what I knew about MAC. Of course I knew the whole history and all the programs etc. She seemed impressed by that :) We talked about whether I was interested in part time or full time. I told her as many hours as they were willing to give me...lol She said part time would be best for me because I have two small children. And I agreed. She also had 2 kids around the same ages as mine. So that was nice to chat about. Overall I think it went really well and I answered everything to the best of my ability. She said I'll be receiving a call early next week to let me know :) Fingers Crossed!!

Good JOB!!!!

I just got back from my 3rd interview. It was with Danielle the manager at the Pentagon City Mall! Everything went really really GREAT!!! Danielle is awesome :) I would love to work with her! She just asked general questions, to be honest it didn't even feel like an interview we got along so well. She has her degree in psychology and she started with MAC part time and then quit her full time we are in the same boat because I have a degree in International Politics and I am trying to switch to working at MAC so we understood the pressure in doing something you didnt really like too much full time.

Oh I ran into Homa again she is awesome as usual!!!

So basically Danielle told me that she is going to sign off on me and told me that I would have to interview with Mia next then I would be working in her store YAY!!! I should hear something from either her or Homa soon!!! I am so happy things went well for the both of us!!!!

3 down 1 more to go!!!

I had my interview today with Homa,it was a group interview.I think it went really well she asked us to rate our artistry on a scale of 1 - 5 ,i said a 3.5 because i still have alot more to learn. She also asked are we looking for fulltime or part time positions, and how much retail sales experience we have. This is the 2nd time i interviewed with Homa and this time around i felt so much more confident. She said she will be making call backs next week for demo interview

I am still waiting too!!! It will be two weeks tomorrow since my 3rd interview, so I emailed Homa today. She is hosting another career fair/call tomorrow at the Pentagon City Mall, so I may just stop by there just to ask what's going on. I dont want to be a stalker but I want this, and I'm going to get it!!! lol I first started this process April 18th so its been almost 2 months.

Good luck to everyone interviewing!!!

What kinds of questions will the counter manager ask?! Should I follow up?
its all different i was never a freelancer i was hired as a permanent. so i would assume it would be like your first interview. what have you learned areas to grow etc.. what can yo bring to the table and why do you think you should be permanent

Sooooo, I'm pretty new and have been eyeing this thread for a while. I have been an artist for CHANEL for 4 years but have always wanted to work for MAC. After over a month of email stalking the recruiter here in Los Angeles I finally got my first interview scheduled for Thursday at the Grove location. I want to thank everyone here because I know exactly what to expect and am not stressing out like I would have had it notbeen for specktra! Thanks Dolls!

Hey ladies so I filled out my paperwork yesterday and I'm officially a MAC freelancer. It has taken so long, but I'm excited!!!! After my first two interviews last year, I was told I would be put on the freelance team. Months and months went by and I heard nothing or was told they were waiting for my number. A year went by and I called the regional back and asked what happened. She told me to come in and apologized for the confusion. I was told that I didn't have to do the demo again and my paperwork would be processed. Welllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll 3-4 months later, lol I went in to fill out the paperwork. I'll be assigned a home store in the city and I am free to freelance in the city and the burbs. Just be patient girls. The process can be really nerve-wrecking and tiring, but good things come to those who wait and in the meantime, just focus on everything else in front of you. God bless.
