That's what I'm worried about. I have very small hands and nails, they probably wouldn't fit.

Just called MAC. The woman I spoke to raced into the warehouse and pulled both the red and the gold for me. Her take: The red isn't nearly as blue as described; in fact, she thought it was a gorgeous warm red. I practically stuttered..."Y-you mean...like a deep tomato red? Because some of the pictures from 2009 look like that." She said that was exactly it. I could almost feel my eyes rolling back into my head at that point but I managed to stay conscious.
The gold is fairly sheer, even when swatched hard. She said it had fine glitter in it, not chunks. I asked her to try it over the red and then we both got excited. I think she was going to buy one for herself after I got off the line.
She said it turned this beautiful red into something more...an evening red.
Naturally, both are now on the way. Should arrive tomorrow!

Do we know if MAC produces it all at once, or does a separate run for Europe? If they produce separately, it shouldn't matter than you're delayed (beyond it being frustrating, of course).
On the plus side, you'll have swatches to buy from; I was afraid to even wait a day or two in case this sold out lightning quick. I'm not a fan of buying blind. Usually unless I'm absolutely positive I wait to see it in the store. My recent return of the Casual Cheek products just reinforced the need to do that.

It's really hard to know. As soon as she opened it she said they have much bluer-based reds, and when she swatched it on her hand she thought it looked warm. I'm just happy it's not OTT blue; hopefully it's neutral enough that we can all enjoy it.

I have no idea if they do a separate run. It's nice that we will have swatches indeed, but why 3 months later and not just 1 month? Your description of the red and gold made me want both.

I don't get that either; the only thing I could think of was separate production runs. Otherwise, why not launch everywhere at once? Sorry you have to wait.

Out of all the swatches I have of other reds Ruffian looks closest to Red Racer, so maybe this one will work better for those that RR didn't quite work for.
