I just got back from running a kid to the orthodontist, and my reward was a little box waiting for me!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Ruffian Red. It's not blue-based though, not in the least. It doesn't pull remotely orange on me, just a classic pin-up red. LOVE it. I certainly don't think it's a dupe for Lady Danger; I've tried that one on too but I didn't buy because I was waiting for SLV.

I like the gold too, although not as much as my 1980s version that was more opaque. I'm wearing it now as a base for Ravishing l/g. I don't know that I'd wear it alone very much, but I think it would look great with natural l/g (like my HG Lust) over it.

Damn I missed the overnight code, But I was so anxious I grabbed it as soon as I could. Got my confirmation today, the gold and red will be in my hands on Friday! This will be my first MAC red! All the swatches are looking awesome. I'm so excited!

Oh, why did I have to see this lol. Gold looks so awesome! I am glad that Red is different from Russian but similar to Red Racer. I have Russian and missed out on Red Racer. Thanks for the swatches Richelle!

Ruffian Red really isn't close to Red Racer. Red Racer is a lot cooler and looked hideous on me - it was too cherry red/pinky. That's a very flattering look for many, but not me unfortunately. Ruffian Red is more of a classic red. No cherry or tomato undertones, at least not on me. YMMV, etc.

I ordered at around 10 am today. With the pics I saw, I'm going to save up for a more opaque version. Besides, I'm at work so calling MAC while working is not a good idea.

I just called the mac 1-800 for placing and order and the rep told me Ruffian gold is still in stock

UPDATE: I did call MAC and it was a stupid PayPal glitch that caused the cancellation. So I paid with my debit card instead. And now I await my order, Second Day Shipping. Thanks guys for the help!

So does it look more pinkish or peachish on? Hmmm, I'm having a hard time telling with this one. In your pics, it doesn't look like Myth.

I think it would look better with a smoky navy blue eye... but I was walking out the door to put stuff in the car to go to work...and it was there...so my makeup was already done, lol... I threw some on while I was driving...  I'm pleasantly surprised...its not really brown at all...and its not lighter than my lips so I don't look like I ate a powdered donut... I think its a good nude for cooler toned people like me. It looks really good with Deelight cremesheen over it also.

I think it looks really good paired with the way you wore your eyeshadow. Thanks for the pictures. Enjoy!

Hrm...hard to say. I think that will depend on your skintone which way it sorta leans. On my hand it looks more peachy... but on my lips it didnt look overly peachy.
