MAC x Ruffian (June 2012) Discussion

It started yesterday morning we have a lot of rivers and creeks that flow in to Lake Superior so there is a lot of water. I heard about the animals and was heart broken. Two seals were found on a busy road and a Polar bear got out of his cage, but they darted him before he got off Zoo grounds. But sadly 14 animals did pass away So far I have not heard of any deaths. There were a lot of people that were just stupid and went out to walk around in the rapid water.

I know this is the wrong thread and I can take them down put here are some pics, but in the mean time I will stare at all the swatches until mine arrives, so have fun for me ladies.

I'm so sorry to hear about all the flooding and such where you live. I hope they can safely catch as many of the zoo animals as possible. Kinda puts things in perspective. In the grand scheme of things makeup is no biggie, but it does help the sanity when life gets to be a pain. I hope your family is safe and you get your lippie soon.

had to pay 5 bucks shipping to get gold and red. I hate paying for shipping! damn! lol but i am saving money cos now i got a puppy and I spent like 2000 bucks in her and supplies :/ all the MAC..... i missed on but all the love i'm getting

Aww. Puppies are cool. What kind did you get? I'm sure you are plenty busy now. Soak up all the love and cuddles you can they don't stay small (unless a small breed) for long.

Wooo got not just one but two packages today. My Ruffian Red I ordered on Sunday with standard whipping and Ruffian Gold from overnight. Both were quite "sweaty" from the heat, but not meltdown.

I haven't tried the red yet but it looks much warmer than Russian Red so I hope I like it on me. Ruffian Gold I tried and the shimmers and glitters are much finer than in the Dazzle lipsticks from a year or two ago. I tried it on under Star Quality c/s/g and I loved it.

I ended up ordering Ruffian Gold. I know Russian Red looks good on me, so there's no need for Ruffian Red. As for the nude....well I honestly don't want to buy something I can't try. And I know I've been all gung ho about the nails, but after seeing some close up images of flaws, I don't want to spend $25 on something I can only wear for a few days.

I got my ruffian red and gold lipstick, I must say i'm quite disappointed, RR looks like a tomato on me and since i already have full lips, it makes it look huge! I'm an nw 25 btw cooler toned but then again, i'm not really a fan of red lipsticks except for queen's sin. I thought that there would be a possibility that it would look like a lighter version of queen's sin, but i was wrong!

I wore Ruffian Red today to work. Charcoal tailored power suit, bright red satin blouse, get out of my way pumps, I went for a 40-something businesswoman pinup look if that exists.Matchmaster Foundation (in 1.5 aka as 'holy cow here comes a white woman''), the faintest dusting of Prism blush, Soft Brown on lid with Haux in crease/outer v and a faint winged Dipdown liner. Add Red Enriched liner and dabbed on Ruffian Red. Blot. Repeat.

LOVED it. Total kickass corporate look and quite different from what I've been wearing since spring.

It's interesting how the colour changes on people. It seems like a bit of a chameleon red. On me, this is a pure red. I don't see any orange in it. SLV is very orange on me. I love it too, but they're nothing alike. I'm trying to talk myself out of buying a shade in the middle (Lady Danger or Scarlet Ibis). We'll see if I'm successful at that.

I received Ruffian Red, Gold and Naked yesterday. I've been debating backups of Ruffian Red and Gold. They're sitting in my cart, but I haven't pulled the trigger. Definitely don't need a backup of Ruffian Naked. I can make it work with a brown liner, but not sure I want to make the effort.

Lovin' the love from the specktrettes!!! I agree that Ruffian Red is the winner! BUs here I come! Even though Marilyn will for sure win me over with more reds. That's soo farr awayyy! hehee

I am in love with Ruffian Gold, just for its versatility! I can't wait to open that door of possibilities of layering it with different lipsticks and glosses. YUM!

Ruffian Naked...I'm glad I didn't get a BU. The color might look "ok" on me but meh, I'm just not really feeling the nudes, and I do have a few of them already! I'm not sure if Naked is the standout nude for me! I do still love my Sweet Sunrise and its lustre-goodness. It's a very good almost-nude. And Creme Cup is love, too

Your right adult dogs are awesome too. I didn't mean it badly of course. I was just thinking about the cuddly babyness. There's just something about a baby lol. I have a toddler who is losing her babyness daily so my mind is in that mindset.

Whoa, that looks amazing! I kinda want the gold too but am worried that I won't have enough places to wear it as I am home with my daughter. The red by itself I'll rock during the day no problem, but the gold over the red screams for a night out. Oh, how I need one of those lol.
