I have a question for London dwellers.

I will be in London next week, and in case I have to go swirl hunting, can you tell me which Mac would be the best & frendliest for that? (I don't expect it to be the maniac Selfridges

OTT.. Our taxes in Finland are 23%.. But they are already added to the price. That's why makeup is SOOOO pricy here. For a Loreal mascara for example you have to pay something like $23.. And I've heard that in some places in California there is an addition of 2.5% to the regular 7.25% tax.

Edit.. AND we pay about 20% taxes of our salary/paycheck.

Edit.. But we have kinda "free" health care and social security.

WoW! :shock: That is crazy high!! That is horrible! I am so sorry! I won't be complaining about our taxes here anymore! :shock:

That's even below average. The average must be somewere between 20-25%? And there are some people who pay 30-40 %.

Earthshine MSF is MINE!

I have been using Metal Rock MSF as a contour (when using MSF on my entire face)
for YEARS and have been waiting for another dark color MSF
to come out in a different base tone. Hopefully this one will fill that bill!

The MAC rep today via phone told me this collex is gonna sell out fast in the US.

I think they were right.

I was very tempted to order all of the csg last evening but I resisted. I like to stand in front of the store waiting for it to open. I get to meet up w my release day buddy and see the expressions on the opening mua faces when they open the door for us :) Always the first in line lol

The girls in the pro store have always been very friendly and it's usually a lot quieter than Selfridges. Have fun in London! :)

I stuck to my list and took mad chances on decent swirls ordering site unseen. Anyone haul more than planned??? Watch out for OUI (ordering under teh influence)

MAC is really on top of things! I ordered at 10:17 PM EDT last night and my order is out for delivery today

I called MAC this morning to add Magnetic Attraction to my order (Cut a Caper, Strictly Plutonic). It will be here tomorrow morning!

I asked the woman on the phone to swatch the colours for me that I wasn't sure of. Here's what I discovered (insert heresay, YMMV disclaimer, etc):

Sky: Swatches to a colour not dissimlar to Freshwater (daughter has it and I don't like it). Not exactly that shade because of the mutil-colour issue and it's less bright, but closeish. Bleah. Pass.

Water: Yellowish lime green. I have and love Lucky Green. Her take: Very close to that, only get this one if you really want a mineralized version. I don't need a near dupe, so pass.

Pleasureseeker: She thought this one would sell out fast. I asked her to swatch against Razzledazzler. The colours are apparently very close, but the finish is different (RD - Lustre, PS - Glaze). Her take: The RD will likely have longer wear. Insert no near dupes please filter: Pass.

Three products. Done.
