ElegantOne, Since ur a red lippie addict like myself, I can't wait to hear ur thoughts about Firesign. I'm so curious about it. Can u please tell me what ur MAC skintone is, ur 3 favorite MAC red LSs (so hard to choose) are just so I can get a feel for ur tastes?
Did you see my pics of Fire Sign? I cannot remember what page now. I am a pale NW15 with slight pink undertones. Hazel eyes & dark hair. Oh, & a 52 yr old wild child  my sign is Scorpio, I'm 5'5, I've been married to the same wonderful man for 33 years that is my biggest MU enabler....I love being interrogated :haha: Fire Sign on me is a slight pinked deeper red, but being a lustre (which I LOVE lustres) its not overly color saturated on the lips making it very very wearable. Well, I have a few Chanel reds that I LOVE. But as far as Mac, I love Port Red a lot, Eden Rouge, VG Cyndi, Russian Red, LOVE Ruffian Red & I know there was one from a past Hey Sailor which I am drawing a blank on.
Lol Elegant One! Ask & ye' shall receive...ur post is too cute. I'm lemming & missed out on Port Red & VG Cyndi, so thanks for turning the knife. I just was asking so I could get a feel for what ur tastes of reds are. I love Ruffian, that was a super, blind buy for me. I just scored Eden Rouge at the CCO, I was glad that I got a small discount when I read it was being repromoted a couple of days later. It's so pretty! I'm still reading all the posts, so I haven't seen ur pics with Firesign on. Not thrilled to hear it's not a color saturated red, but will have to see how it looks in person. I may just wait til the Satin pink-red in a coming release works better for me because I don't love lustres (love the colors, just not the staying power). Glad to hear ur opinion & that u like it. Enjoy!

My first box arrived today! I did standard shipping before I knew about the NAILS code so thats why I just got it. My brother took the pic because I am not in Houston but I had to see my swirls so I asked him to take a pic :p. I dont know how to attach an image with my ipad so I uploaded it to my tweeter account and pasted the link. hope you can see it! pic.twitter.com/wkOFXp2y

I never pay attention to my freckles when applying makeup, I'm not trying to cover them at all, but wouldn't mind if they were less visible either. They are not that dark at the moment, because I try to avoid the sun. I didn't plan how to use Earthshine yet, I was gonna play with it and see what works best. I'm really curious how it would work on me, it seems like such a unique product, I would like to give it a try. That's why I'm leaning towards getting it rather than Stratus. But Stratus does seem like the safer choice.
If I don't like Earthshine (or Stratus) I would definitely swap/sell it, I'm not a big fan of returning products either.
I will have to think about it until Monday.

Thank you so much for your thoughts!
Someone made a good point that since MSFs are more in demand, it would be easier for you to sell/swap Earthshine than Stratus. That's definitely something to consider. I hope it works for you, one way or the other. I know I cannnnnnnnnnn't wait 'till next Thursday, when I can go pick up my things.

I even have my first look all planned out!! I'm going to apply Stratus as a contour, then dust Light Year all over, then add a pop of color on the cheeks with Supernova. (NOTE: the MBs look even better and blend out much better applied on top of one of the MSFs!) Then it's going to be Fire Sign on the lips with Astral on top and and Aurora and Invincible Light on the eyes with plenty of mascara (but I might skip eye liner or just use something like Dirty GPS).

I also am looking forward to doing a look with Center of the Universe applied as bronzer, then built up more on the cheeks with Ring of Saturn, with Cusp of Dawn and Strictly Plutonic on the lips and lots and lots of Sky under the eye and extended out from the crease, with a little Bright Moon to hightlight.

Lastly, I'm eager to do a simple look Star Wonder, Venus + Meteoric and Water on the eyes!

What??? R u joking? Y am I thinking ur barely 25????
Nope. Not joking. I was born in 1980, lol. ...and i have a very extensive skincare routine....I was fine until I turned 29 or so...didn't even wash my makeup off, actually. after that I started looking super old and haggard.... soooo...yeah, i have an arsenal of serums and creams, i dermaroll once a week... clarasonic twice a day... hyaluronic acid sheet masks...expensive firming moisturizers...
I think it's the pictures u post too, the lighting & all that. I read a post earlier about how u prime ur face & I was shocked! It sounds like way too much work for me. I wish I knew now about using sunscreen everyday even if ur not going to be in the sun, I grew up in FL & didn't give a flip about sunscreen & I always got burned badly at least a couple times a year until I got into college. For the last 13 or so years, I never go out in the sun with the purpose of trying to get 'color'. I also didn't faithfully use lotion & moisturizers & all that stuff. But now, I realize how important it is & how it does make a difference.

I FINALLY got to see the collection today - no need to go into it in detail, since so many others have already, BUT the MSFs are beautiful!!! I'm only sad I couldn't get Earthshine not to look dirty on me. 'Tried a bunch of brushes and so forth, but I guess even with a tan, my basically NC15 face isn't dark enough to set it off well. Stratus MB, on the other hand, was gorgeous. So fabulous for a contoured look.

I passed on Solar Ray. I could not get it to show up at all unless I wet my brush, and then it was way too harsh and unblendable. Supernova was everything I hoped for, though and so were Stratus and Ring of Saturn.

All the c/s/g were so so so so so beautiful - totally fantastic for looking effortless in the summer sun. I don't have a favorite, they're all beautiful!!!

The shadows all had very nice textures - the standouts for me were Invincible Light, Sky, Aurora. If you find a Water with lots and lots of the light green shade, it will be beautiful - sort of a more pastel Parrot. I was hoping to skip it, but even though it looks like Jade's Fortune from SP, it really doesn't apply with the same color if you ind the right swirls. I DID prefer my In the Sun to Magnetic Attraction, because I like ITS's type of sheen better (it's more frosted and sparkly).

I got:

Light Year
Star Wonder
Center of the Universe

Stratus
Supernova
Ring of Saturn

Cusp of Dawn (LOVE)
Venus (LOVE the shimmer in this and CoD)
Fire Sign (these two will be so great all the way into fall)

All 5 c/s/g (I can't believe how many incredible colors MAC has brought to this product this year. Astral is particularly stunning and yet not overdone at all)

Invincible Light (thought I could skip this one due to Young Venus, but the texture is glorious and is one of the few I can wear as a brow highlighter without over-emphasizing the area. Will become a staple shadow for me)
Aurora - very good warm mid-tone brown (Earthly was too cool for me)
Sky - Got a nice one with lots of cobalt blue
Also put aside Bright Moon, Water and Neo Nebula. NN is quite close to Grand Galaxy on me, just a bit warmer, so I may pass. Bright Moon is beautiful but I can only wear pale blues in the summer when I have a good tan and Water, while better for more of the year on me, is not unlike Unsurpassable and Jade's Fortune, even though it's a much better texture and easier to apply.

My MA had been experimenting and found Luna CCB was a great base for the MES - really brought out the lovely sheen and shimmer. He just put a tiny amount on the lid and above the crease but not IN the crease. I'd say it may be the best base shade for the MES.

'Looking forward to next week to pick it all up! YAY TEAM MINERALIZE!!!
Did you thik Aurora or Earthly resembled any other taupe/browns out there? Like Havana, Tempting Mulch, any from the UD naked 1 palette.

OMG are you really 32?? You have amazing skin!!
Yep! I will be in a month and a half, anyway.

I pretty much never go in the sun...ever. I had pretty good skin naturally before... like i never had severe acne or anything, even as a teenager... but i do get some really dry spots (like my forehead)...

the dermarolling is probably the best thing that has helped though... it sorta tricks your skin into thinking it needs to heal itself, so more collagen, more firmness, etc...

For the record Spanky, your skin looks good in your picture. Not sure how old (young) you are, but any damage you may have doesn't show.

It is kind of a lot of work... but I seriously spent ZERO time on skincare before last year...and I was having such a problem finding a foundation/concealer that actually matched my skintone at the time, I thought that maybe it would be beneficial to fix my skin so I wouldnt need to cover it up as much, lol...

it starts out light...but then it sorta becomes another obsession like makeup...trying to find the most effective thing, etc...

so, i finally found a good combo of things....i still sub things in and out here and there... but for now, its working pretty well.

I remember said something about this a couple of weeks ago, where did you get yours from?

Okay, I wasn't going to ask (for sake of not sounding like an idiot), but since you mentioned it again what's dermarolling?
