those colors are stunning!!!

Water over Delft from the Pro Fall Trend eye palette is THE most gorgeous sparkly mermaid-y teal! I couldn't get a decent photo of it showing my entire eyelid, but here is a pic from when I accidentally zoomed in a lottt:



Also, Neo Nebula is my new favourite MES along with Daylight from Naturally - I will be wearing this one all the time for uni!

I blame Richelle (when in doubt, always blame Richelle). :haha: While I was there, I got Magnetic too. I almost went for Aurora but reason prevailed because the Canadian price is so high.

I was considering aurora in the store but finally didn't get it because it looked very close ( on my arm, mind you) to magnetic...which I was set on purchasing.... I had gone in thinking I'd get universal appeal, but I think in the end there was too much silver shimmer, so I was worried it wouldn't look as nice on my skin as some of the warmer shimmer shades. not sure it was the right move, but maybe I can find my way back to Mac in the not so distant future.

Universal Appeal was too cool toned for me too.

Magnetic Attraction was too close to In the Sun - I actually prefer In the Sun, but I did love Aurora on my eyes - it's more red than MA.

I got Sky (with a lot of cobalt), Aurora, Water (one with lots of that seafoam green shade, which is just so unusual) and Invincible Light, which is my absolute favorite and is going to become a staple for me. I had also picked out a really good Bright Moon (with lots of the light blue) and Neo Nebula (which leaned quite lilac purple on me), but I wound up passing on them when it was time to pick them up, since I spent a ghastly amount as it was.

I'm still jonesing for Bright Moon, but I keep telling myself that it's a color I can only wear when I'm at my tannest, so I honestly won't get a lot of use out of it. Plus, Water is a much much more unusual pastel tone, more flattering for a true NC skin tone too - just have to find one with lots of the light green and not much dark blue.

Wow! This thread just exploded. I haven't checked in since late July 4th. Almost 2 days later I come back to 277 new posts. I wonder if this thread has set a record yet.
Well I had a hard time sleeping the night before launch day too. I'm so glad I set my alarm because I'm not sure I would have woken up. I meant to get the store area a 1/2 hour early and sit in Starbucks until it opened but due to tiredness, I had a hard time moving around. I wasn't feeling too hot but not bad enough to stop me from going to the store. I got out late but I still made it to the store 5 minutes before they opened. I noticed a woman standing in an entrance to the building next to mac. I suspected she was there for mac but I wasn't sure. I decided to walk down the street and get a bottle of water. I walked back and stood in front of the store next to mac. I noticed the woman eyeing me and then she went and stood in front of the store. I'm thinking she thought I was going to get to the collection first and wanted to beat me in there. Well, I had no intention of going in front of her. Well, when they opened the doors, she went right past the HC display and went to the perm stuff. I was shocked. So I tested everything but I was pretty sure of what I wanted. I did keep Water out. I just thought the blend of color was so much like one of the Semi Precious ones that I had to skip it. I also took Bright Moon out. I really loved it for the aqua color but when I swatched the aqua on my skin, it just looked like a pale blue. I thought maybe Frozen Ice was similar so I decided to skip.

I told the MA that I wanted everything but I wanted to pick out which one I get. She had no idea what I was talking about. After explaining, she took me to the drawer and let me pick out my swirls.

I love your Earthly and Supernova. It looks like you can really pick out colors from both.

Well I ended up getting only 2 lip products: Fire Sign and Meteoric. I was looking to get Astral but it didn't look all that special on my hand. I really wasn't seeing the sparkle. I may go back for Strictly Plutonic and Cusp of Dawn but I'm not sure right now.

After my haul, I really started to feel bad and stayed in bed for the rest of the day and half of the next. I still haven't touched my products and my camera is MIA. But I feel I must do pics as I've been enjoying everyone else's. I may just have to use my phone but I don't want to. So I will take pics tomorrow or later today as it is so late here.

What MSF's are you looking to pick up? Earthshine... the more burgundy in it, the darker and deeper it will look.  Less burgenudy and more brown and gold will suit lighter-medium skintones better.  BUT people are using Earthshine as an eyeshadow too!  I ended up with a lot of burgundy in my first one and I will use that one for an eyeshadow and blush with a light hand.  My hand-picked Earthshine has more brown and gold, so I will use that as a contour/blush and it will work better on the face for my skintone (NC 30/35) Star Wonder... can pull more pink or more purple depending on how much of those colors are in the swirl.  So whatever you prefer.  It works lovely as a blush. Light Year... is more of the standard highlight shade.  get more or less gold swirl depending on how much shimmer you want.  I got a small gold swirl and will add the desired shimmer with Soft & Gentle if I want that look to be stronger.  I wanted more of the base color, so I can control my shimmer level better.  I'm not a HUGE fan of too much shimmer/shine.  It's really just preference. Center of the Universe... same theory.  Just depends on how you want it to pull... more orange, more coral.  This one and LY seem to be the most consistant across the board.  Variations in shimmer. This thread's gotten so huge, I'm not even trying to absorb it all. Wow, what a massive response. As a big fan of Mineralize everything, I'm glad to see there's such a frenzy. MAC can keep churning out cool MBs, MSFs and MESs all they want!

Oh the hello kitty collection.....the one that got away *sigh* Got the rest of my haul today! Loving everything from this coll! I went from only wanting 3 of the lippies to 9 products lol. Everyone's hauls are looking amazing! Tomorrow its my 1 year anniversary Yay! So i'll def be pulling these babies out. Oh what to use first?!

Star Wonder- I love my swirls in this one! Perfect! Just the right amount of pink and plum. I think it will make a great blush on me


Light Year- I actually like my small swirl. I was hoping to get one with limited gold veining and I got my wish! It reminds me a less shimmery By Candlelight, score! I broke mine so I'm extreamly happy about this!


Neo Nebula- Got lucky on this one too! Swirled all together It's an awesome pinky purple color! I'll be using this one a lot. And when I swatched just the light pink part it reminded me of my beloved Young Venus


Magnetic Attraction- I like it. I love that I can pick up just the gold or the colors swirled together. I love how its almost a bronzey pink gold.

I swatched Aurora and Neo Nebula, almost walked away with Nebula but I decided to leave my card with all the money on it at home and I was not going to go back for it. Too damn hot out! But I am for sure ordering Aurora. Neo is a very light purple sparkly goodness color on me but I kept thinking when will I use this? Of course now I'm thinking of all the purple paint pots and other brands bases I have that are purple and I SMH, duh...you have options! So I guess I will order that. Taught the sales associate about the swirl pattern importance! She looked through every MSF and was like oh I see the difference, swatched some then pointed out how the less gold in some the better! She was buggin out about that, so glad she understood me! The manager always looks at me crazy. 

It's hasn't been such a good couple of days for moi, I can't load up my pics. I'm just all around frustrated & overwhelmed by everything. The SA @ a counter I never go 2 was not at all pleased with my wanting to choose my own swirls. Mind u I was the only person in there looking at the stuff & I only asked for help once. There pissy attitudes didn't help my decisions. Richelle thanks for looking for a less burgundy ES for me. Agreed that NN & Aurora r beautiful!!! Hope everyone had better luck than me.

Sky and Earthshine are already sold out at my counter, because they only got two of each of those! I got one of each and another awesome lady got the other ones. It was a lot of fun, because we were both swirls hunting! I'm quite pleased with my swirls. I'm not sad that my Earthshine is dark, because I really like the colour of the dark swirl in it. I was also able to find a Light Year without too much gold. There was one with even less gold, but I prefered this one. My Supernova has this weird blob of gold on one side, but it's cute. The gold isn't glittery like I expected, so that's nice! I also like that my Sky has a lot of the darker blue. Sky is just gorgeous! I also wanted a Neo Nebula that didn't have a lot of the light colour and I found that as well. I really like the colour of Neo Nebula! I like all the colours

I only got one thing that wasn't on my list so I was a good girl so far The nice lady and the MUA enabled me on Aurora. I really didn't expect to like that colour so much. I'm so happy with my goodies, but I kinda want to get more
