I'm with you on this Richelle.... ESPECIALLY with ANYTHING mineralized! They are SO fragile, so I feel it necessary to BU the ones I love the most not JUST out of worry that I will finish one, but also out of worry that one could VERY EASILY break! I dropped an MSF on CARPET one time from chair seat level and it cracked to pieces! There is no way I'm going to feel bad about backing up a product that I LOVE... Breaking, misplacing, losing... NEVER need that stress over a GREAT product. And I HATE when I feel like I can't really use a product I love as much as I want out of fear of using it all up and there being nothing on its level to replace it... If it's LE and I fall in LOVE with it.... I'M BU! Better to have a product to swap or sell than mourning the loss of a HG item.

PS.. My Shellcat wanting more of her beloved Warm Blend comes to mind here too! You can't even find that sucker on eBay!
Oh dear, it broke on carpet? Maybe I should back up Starwonder.. I fly/travel usually at least once a month, and I know I'll want to bring it with me. You may have me convinced. I will be so sad if I it was in a suitcase or bag and broke just from being rattled around. Didn't realize how fragile msfs are.

Hey All! I'm C4 and I've never used MSFs before. I was wondering whether I should get Star Wonder or Ring of Saturn or BOTH lol? Any advice?

I am NC35/C4 and I love both SW and RoS. So my vote is both.

Also, I ADORE CotU. Sorry, had to throw that in...

If any of the fairer ladies who were wondering about Earthshine are interested, or anyone actually, I have swatches of it on my nc-15 arm in the photo gallery in my profile. I tried to post the pics a few pages back, but I guess since I'm a new member they were held or not posted. I also have starwonder and lightyear in there.
Just saw your pics and I must say I love the swirls in your Star Wonder! So beautiful and great swatches! I really think Earthshine is a color everyone can pull off with the right brush and application. I just love it so much :eyelove:

My Star Wonder <3 Omg it is so pigmented. I had clown cheeks when I tried wearing it as blush LOL. I was not expected that at all D;

Star Wonder on my cheeks after I piled powder over it.

Someone stole my credit card information, so all I had was a $50 bill for this collection. I really wanted Light Year :(
FYI I found that Milani Luminoso is a REALLY good dupe of Lightyear minus the golden sparkle of the golden swirl, so basically a dupe for the light peach base color + the pinky peach swirl color. Literally VERY close, even in the finish. Its just a smidgen more apricot peach while lightyear is more pinky peach. So if you don't mind not having that golden shimmer, Luminoso is a good cheap option.

I love my Starwonder swirls also lol. I really like the msfs with the mutiple swirl patterns, even though they're really the most inconvenient because you can't pick up each individual color as easily.

And about Earthshine you are exactly right! Application is key with this pigmented baby! I think it also has to do with the veining you get. I have a large amount of burgundy (which I think is the most amazing eyeshadow color ever) but the rest of the pan is a majority of the brown swirl, and the golden base is only at the very edge (which is just golden sparkle mostly anyway). That Brown color, that's the most uninteresting in the pan IMO, is really what makes it work for me as a contour color without looking dirty .

You are making me want Solar Ray! Lol. I swatched it at the store but I thought it was too shimmery. Maybe it was the tester?
Solar Ray is really, really shimmery (but really, really pretty also

). I think its because both the base color and the swirl have a lot of shimmer. Whereas with the other blushes, the swirl is what lends the majority of the shimmer to the product.

Heres mine. I tried to find the one with the smallest/thinnest orange swirl. Too much orange made it look too much like NARS Luster on my cheek. I had to find a way to buy this where I wouldn't feel like I was buying something too similar to something I have already.

Here's a swatch showing how shimmery it is, even with such a small vein. The base pink color is full of shimmah!

The top liner is Ash Violet fluidline and on the bottom is a purple UD liner with some Blue Orbit shadow blended over it. And thank you!

SEEEEE!!! OMG!! This is my point all over again! Between you and Shellcat, you're going to have me BU'ing these MSF's 1 million more times! LOL

You look SO darn pretty in your ANNIVERSARY FOTD! Your hubby must have been swept off his feet! CONGRATS doll!

I just called my Mac counter because I wanted a BU of Light Year and Star Wonder and luckily they weren't sold out! The MUA was sweet enough to look for a LY with the least amount of gold and a SW with the most pink. I can pick them up tomorrow! I think I'm going to order a BU of Earthshine as well, because mine has a small crack. I love COTU as well, but not enough to get a BU, I think...

I'm going to check at my counter to see if they still have Solar Ray and try to pick up a back up with the least amount of gold. I really love the peachy-pink base colour.

The peachy pink does look pretty, but the gold turns me off. I think I wouldn't use it enough so I'm happier with my BUs of the MSFs. I only got Supernova from the blushes, but I might get Ring of Saturn and/or Stratus.
