MAC Heavenly creature discussion

Hmm - I'm still trying to decide if I want anymore of the mes.

I picked up Magnetic Attraction but none of the others really called my name.

Universal Attraction is pretty in the pan but I wasn't too crazy about the swatch.

Earthy was just a bit too grey brown.

What are everybody's absolute fans.?

My fave is definitely Magnetic Attraction, with Earthly and Neo Nebula being a close second and third

Wow, it's amazing how it can look pink on some and orange on another! What's your color in MAC or are you too fair? Guhh I really hope it'll work on me.

I'm crazy fair if MAC had it I'd probably a NC05 haha. Also I have olive tones to my skin so it things have to much warmth to it they tend to look orange one me.

I don't know if it's just me, or if anyone else has tried this, but for anyone who has a cracked MES (like I did, I was doing my moms makeup using the VV She Who Dares Duo and as I went to put it away it dropped on the floor and cracked! Right in half where the 2 shadows met!). I never did anything about it, then one day as I was de-potting all of my MAC shadows (I was on a B2M high lol) I decided to use the 70% Isopropyl Alcohol on the MES duo, just poured it right on there, pressed them together, waited 1 minute, pressed out the excess alcohol with a cotton pad, and left it to dry with the lid open, worked like a charm! I was SO relieved!!! Hope this helps :bigstar:

I have never BU'd any product before, but I feel like LIght Year, Magnetic Attraction, Metoric, and Pleasureseeker have become my go to look everyday since the release. I am a school teacher and often times don't have the time to experiment or be creative with makeup looks throughout the year. I think these could be easy go to's for work. Just called the MAC counter at my Macy's and they are holding Light Year. I am most concerned about this MSF since it is sold out everywhere online. The rest I can order from MAC ( I might grab Magnetic Attraction while I am there so my powder products don't end up like Pixie Dancers!). I guess I will be commiting my first BU! :bump: Question: Why on my Ipad do I only have the choice of about 8 emoticons? I want more faces to make at all you people!:bigstar:

No, I haven't been able to get the MSFs I want. I won't even be able to afford them unless I hear back from the job I interviewed with on Monday. If I don't hear from them over the weekend, I'll call on Monday to check up.

I have a question... I have RoS, Ambering Rose and Light Year. If you mix AR & LY you get RoS, however the finish is slightly frosty. But I still want to keep my RoS, I don't know if I should though? My full HC haul includes: MSF's: Light Year (I have a back up on hold!) Star Wonder (picked it up third time I went back), Earthshine (picked it up yesterday! ) MES: None I just feel that Fyrinnae will satisfy me more (and SO much cheaper!) MB: Ring of Saturn and Supernova Volcanic Ash Exfoliter I am an NC 40 in PLW, Matchmaster 5.0, I have dark brown eyes, dark brown hair. I'm also a uni student... Just thought I'd throw that it there lol. Ooh, one last thing, I compared Magnetic Attraction and RoS on my hand (NC 42) and they looked the SAME blended, only MA was more frosty looking and slightly more yellow. I guess it depends on what colors and finish you prefer! The lady helping me said to go for MA, but I'm not into overly frosty cheeks lol. Plus I can pick out either colours in RoS better, but that's just my preference, and it depends on your veining too What do you all think between these two?

Keep RoS! It still works great as an eyeshadow!

OMG! Ran right in a swatched the two, and you are right! I am in love with MA...so logically it would follow that now that I know this, I will be equally in love with RoS! For your situation though, I would say keep RoS...you could add more frostiness to it for an eye look, if you wanted that. I bet LY with RoS would give the same look as MA! I have always steered clear of frost (almost 40), but I don't feel the frost in any of this collection looks teenagery or tends to magnify my crepieness (sp?) and fine lines finger...gives a youthful glow to the skin that I love!
