Hopefully tomorrow will be sunnier so that I can share pics of my little swirl family with you guys.

I have to say that I am loving Earthshine! I was so afraid that it would be unwearable but I'm finding that it is very blendable and easy to sheer out and I even have one with a decent sized burgundy swirl.

I wore the lightest green part of Water today all over the lid with some of the dark blue blended in the crease and I have to say I was thinking of returning Water but I got so many complements I feel like that would be a mistake now.

Water does look lovely in the sunlight. It has an attractive sort of translucent quality and a nice sparkle. I'm still thinking about getting Earthly but now I'm thinking I should wait and get the taupe from Electric Cool.

Ah, I'm a bit ashamed to say this, but when I read your post my mind went into overdrive, and I started planning a quick visit to the MAC counter to snap up a CoU on the way home. I had to mentally slap myself and remember I hated how orange it was on me.

It's the only face product I didn't haul so my little collection feels a wee bit incomplete. Just a wee bit.

I do that too! Except in my case, it doesn't so anything for me like the other 3 MSF's, or 2 MB that I purchased (I'm an NC 40). When I got to CofU I was like... no. I can make it with NARS Luster and My Paradise, or at least thats what I keep telling myself!

I went by to grab a BU of Venus, and just happened to wander over to look through the MES AGAIN...

I found a BEAUTIFUL MA...it HAD to come home with me.







My old MA vs. new MA. They swatch totally different, love them BOTH.

These mes are so cool. It's like there are more than just 9 shadows in HC because of the totally different swirls. MA has been too orange for my liking but if I can find one with as much purple goodness as your second one I'd have to get it. It's like a sunset!

I walked in and went nuts(AGAIN), bought a BU of Venus, ANOTHER VAE, Meteoric CSG, bought another MA and a BU of Sun Dipped bronzer. Go figure...

I'm debating getting another LY... With MORE Rose and Gold. I didn't even want anything from this collection, now I'm buying back ups! If I do get a back up of LY though, it'll be the first item I back up ever! :O

Went back to MAC counter yesterday swatched like a madwoman and decided I didn't need anything else.

I tried UA again but it is just too greyed out of a purple for me.

I also tried Earthy one more time and passed.

So I'm happy I walked away.

I purchased shoes instead!

Ah crap. I thought MA would be too orange for me, but now I NEED one that swatches like your second!

How is everyone liking Universal Appeal, Magnetic Attraction, Sky, Invincible Light and Bright Moon?
They're the only mineralise products I didn't get and now they're haunting me.........

Plus, I'm trying to talk myself out of backing up Star Wonder, Neo Nebula and Light Year!

I KNEW Venus looked familiar!!!!! It is the closest lipstick I have found to my beloved Chanel Frivole!!!!
Here are some swatch comparisons (Venus on left, Frivole on right)....they are not dupes, by any means, but both are similarly toned delicious glowy juicy pinks. Looooooooove. LOVE!!!


Also just tried to upload pic of Venus on my lips but the pic was sideways...I will never understand why iphones or gmail (or the combo of the 2) always make shit go sideways

Anyone know how to right that wrong?

Did anyone with a warm complexion get Star Wonder? I'm normally around NC/NW 20 but I'm tan right now. My MA said I'm too warm for it and it'll make me look dead, but the color looked so nice!

I am NC20 and it looks amazing! Not too cool. I love it so much I got 2

Does anybody have Venus lipstick and Sweetie from the perm line that can give a comparison? I'm thinking that they look pretty similar. I own Sweetie so that's why I've passed on Venus. But it would be great to get an opinion on how similar or different the two are, to calm or rev up my skipper's remorse goat

I'm new on Specktra! I've been following this thread for quite some time and I finally thought... I'm gonna join! I have never bought so much from a collection, I also think I never got this excited over a collection.. I have such a weakness for mineralize products (as many of you do). I got all 4 msf's, all 4 m/b, CaC l/s, Earthly m/e! I bought them online, and I'm really happy with the swirls actually! I only wished that the gold vein in Solar Ray was smaller and that the brown/taupe vein in Earthly was bigger, but other than that the veining is great! I will post a picture of my swirlies soon I've been very busy so I haven't really used them yet but they look sooo pretty, almost too pretty to use haha. But it's now summer vacation, so I have a lot of time to play with my little planets yay! I'm debating on whether I should buy Fire Sign/Pleasureseeker l/s.. even though I'm practically broke lol. How comparable is Fire Sign to VG Cyndi? Some bloggers say they're the same and others say that Cyndi is way more coral/warm and Fire Sign more berry.. I missed out on Cyndi so I really want something like it. And Pleasureseeker.. how pigmented/sheer is it and does it really has a silvery/frosty sheen?

Hi Corally, welcome to Specktra I have Fire Sign and VG Cyndi and they're about the same on me, although Fire Sign IS a tad cooler. I have pretty pigmented lips so I can't tell much of a difference on. I thought they were going to be different just looking at them in the tubes but was pleasantly surprised when I swatched them on my (NW15) arm: Cyndi on the left, Fire Sing on the right. Fire Sign looks a little darker in the swatch but it isn't IRL, I took it straight from the tube but used a lip brush with Cyndi (mine melted awhile ago so I can only use it with a brush :sob: ). They're both sheerer IRL also, I built them up to show the colours. Cyndi is one of my favourites so I'm soooooo happy I found a comparable lipstick! And I was almost going to skip FS! I can do lip swatches too if anyone wants, would be later tonight though as I'm just running out the door now!

Thanks Carriee! And thanks for the swatches, they both look very berry on your arm though! I would love to see some lip swatches! If someone else has some arm/lip swatches or maybe a small 'review' of Pleasureseeker, please post it I've seen a few swatches in this thread and online but I'm not sure what to think of it.. is it a (sheer?) peachy lipstick with silver shimmer/sheen or is it a more creamy (sheer?) peach? I don't have a MAC store/counter near me so... I would really appreciate it!

Ok so I have sweetie and swathed it over the weekend to compare I didn't take any pics so I did just now again so that you can see. I feel that sweetie has more of a purple finish to it and venus is more pink although they do look a bit similar.


Venus is on top and Sweetie on the bottom

And also, I was rooting for Griffin too! And I said the SAME thing when he walked out of the ring again! Maybe he needs to do that to diffuse... I am around MMA fighters all the time, and sometimes they can get into their own heads in an intense way before, during, and after they fight. It's strange to see it up close. On tv, it just looks like they're crazy! HeeHee

MacAddictNurse: thank you soooo much for the swatch comparison! It was extremely helpful! The skipper's remorse was setting in so after my errands today, I stopped by the nearest Nordstrom MAC and compared. Sweetie is definitely more purple/fuschia than Venus, and also lighter pigmentation. Lovelorn looks the closest, but is pinker. I grabbed the last Venus from my Nordstrom counter and got a very purple Stratus (I couldn't pass that up!) then I hopped over to my local MAC store and got the last Venus there, too. I also picked up Magnetic Attraction with very little yellow, a heavily purple and pink Star Wonder and their last Light Year (my personal fav from this collection). They had one Center of the Universe left and were sold out of Earthshine (which is bizarre imo lol - they still had 6-7 Star Wonders after I picked mine out). The MAC artist at my full-sized store was a sweetheart and totally understood the need to select one's own swirls! I'm glad I got Venus + BU while I still had the chance. I can't wait to go home and try 'er out!!! My final haul: Venus x 2 Meteoric x 4 CotU x 2 Star Wonder x 3 Light Year x 3 Stratus Supernova Ring of Saturn Magnetic Attraction Earthshine It could be worse considering the sheer size of this collection, but at the same time I'm glad I spread out my hauls for this collection, especially considering this was one I was going to skip out on! But I am so happy with my products and I know I'll get some good use out of them!

Your haul is to die for!! If I was you I'd just spend hours on end staring at all the pretty swirls - that's what I do with mine anyway

Light Year is my favourite MSF too! I'm so glad you managed to snag backups of all of your favourite things, tracking them down later on would be a major pain!
