I will admit that I have enough lipsticks to last years and eyeshadows up the wazoo - but as others have said here, makeup is a hobby! If we spend our money on that, so what? It's our money, our free time and our interest! My brother collects mostly baseball, but sports memorabilia in general, and he always has to give his two cents on how much makeup I own (even though he hasn't seen all of it!), and how many clothes I buy, etc etc. Basically he asks: "Why do you spend your money on that?" umm, because it's my money and not yours! He buys stuff that just sits in a display case, or goes into a binder or storage, but he has it and he loves it, so who am I to judge? To me, it's frivolous that he spends money on getting a baseball with a pen signature on it, but to him: it's what he loves to do and spend his money on! So, even though people may feel the need to interject their opinion, take it with a grain of salt and keep doing your thang!
Thank you! I love my swirls! hhee! and yesss 4 Meteorics lol. There's really not much product in a cremesheen so I tend to use them up very quick! Much faster than a lipstick or regular lipglass. I've finished one Narcissus (Daphne Guinness) cremesheen and got BUs of that one, too. I don't buy cremesheens too often because I'm not 100% committed to the formula (I prefer the sticky-tacky feeling of a lipglass, they're much easier to tell when it's time to reapply!), however if the color is unique I will buy it and also get a BU. Meteoric is great with coral lipsticks and even just fabulous on its own, so I had to buy it plus BUs
I didn't get any backups of blushes, since a little goes a very long way! Especially with Supernova. I've only swatched it on my arm so far, but daaang does it pack a punch! I'll try to wear it sometime this week to get a feel of how to work with it! I'm sure our PRO-specktrettes can confirm, but I think the MAC fan brush is a limited edition brush that popped up when Tres Cheek came out - so I'm not sure of its likelihood of being restocked, but again our PRO members can definitely confirm one way or another!
I use a regular contour blush brush for my MBs and it's definitely workable. I just dab the brush on the product - no swiping or swirling of the brush, and then I apply it with a very light-hand on my cheeks. If I need to add more, I do the same technique, but I find it reduces packing on too much product, as well as wasting product by having the blush pieces getting kicked up and hanging out on the rim of the pot.
Light Year and Solar Ray looked almost identical on me, too, except Solar Ray had more of a golden-peachy shimmer to it, that made me pass on it. Light Year is much more blendable and is easy for me to apply for a glow on the cheeks! Solar Ray I would probably use for the same purpose, but since there is more product in an MSF, I went for LY!
