This thread is now number four when you click on replies. Need to keep posting to be the longest thread lol.
Hello Kitty! I remember reading all that stuff and being somewhat excited for the collection. But I didn't actually like any of the colors. I decided to get just the mirror and the brush holder but for some reason when the collection finally launched, I lost interest. I don't own one single thing from Hello Kitty. Actually, I don't get very excited about any of these "novelty" type collections. I don't know why. Usually I love cutesy stuff. I don't know what it is.

Well since everyone is fessing up to Makeup-Addicts-Gone-Wild, I will too. I picked up more BUs today.

My total HC haul:

  • Charged Water Moisture Gel
  • Volcanic Ash Exfoliator
  • Earthly mes
  • Universal Appeal mes
  • Invincible Light mes
  • Sky mes
  • Neo Nebula mes
  • Aurora mes
  • Water mes x2
  • Magnetic Attraction mes x2
  • Solar Ray MB
  • Supernova MB
  • Stratus MB
  • Ring of Saturn MB x2
  • Star Wonder MSF x2
  • Light Year MSF x2
  • Center of the Universe MSF x2
  • Earthshine MSF x4
    icon_eek.gif
    amazed.gif
  • Fire Sign l/s x2
  • Venus l/s x2
  • Cusp of Dawn l/s
  • Celestial Kiss CSG
  • Meteoric CSG x2
  • Astral CSG

I think that's everything. I don't know if I should count the eye cream since I got that about a month ago. Today, I went to Bloomies and asked for Center of the Universe, Star Wonder and Ring of Saturn. They were out of Center of the Universe and instead of giving me Star Wonder, the SA gave me Stratus. I corrected her but of course I was thinking it was a sign that I should get another Stratus. But I resisted that temptation. I don't know why but I told her to give me another Earthshine with lots of burgundy. This one had more burgundy than the other ones I had but it wasn't predominantly burgundy like I wanted but the veins were much bigger than the other one I had. At this point I wasn't feeling like I was in crazy town. But I was disturbed that they were out of Center of the Universe. I really haven't used that one yet but I'm a big fan of colors this shade. Thus spurring me to go hunt one down.

I decided to go to Henri Bendel's as I remembered they had a Mac counter there. Well, it's gone! This makes a lot of sense now that a Mac store is opening up across the street. But in it's place was jewelry and they were having a 50% off sale. I picked up a bracelet I had been eyeing for over a year.

BTW - They had Becca there. I haven't been in this store in ages. Every single store that sold Becca stopped selling it and I had to buy online or by mail order. In fact, a few months ago I ended up having to go to Duane Reade of all places to get a replacement foundation. But now they have it at Bendels, Duane Reade and I hear its coming back to Sephora.

It was also interesting because they had some people there making hand made shoes in Bendels. Interesting to see but I had to go off to Saks. There I found everything. While the SA was in the drawers (and trying to convince me that all the Star Wonders were the same), I saw an Earthshine with a huge burgundy blob in the middle. So I had the SA throw it in the bag. Somehow I was thinking I had 3 not 4. Still too much. I think I may have to gift one.

I've gone really nuts but I surprisingly feel no guilt. I have been planning this haul for some time and skipped a few collections. Plus I budgeted - yet I went over budget. LOL! But the Mineralized Collections are my favorites so I'm quite pleased. The other thing making me feel fine is that I'm not all that excited about any of the upcoming collections. Mind you that doesn't mean I'm skipping them but I should show some restraint. I do want quite a few things from other lines though. I'm only a bit nervous that I'm planning to go to the Nordies sale this week.

As for today's look: I cheated on Mac a bit and went with Armani ETK #28 lightly on the lids, Lancome bronze liquid liner, Mac Pink Tea blush, Light Year MSF and Fire Sign l/s. I wanted a light cheek and eye to make the lips the star. The cheeks came out a bit brighter than I had imagined. Strange I thought Pink Tea and Light Year were fairly light but I liked it. I didn't put Fire Sign on last as I normally do lips last and I thought maybe it was too much but by the time I finished everything balanced out and I really liked the look.

Here's my near final haul for the Heavenly Creature collection. It's only near final because I want an Earthshine BU and I may still get Invincible Light. I may also reswatch Pleasureseeker to confirm my decision to skip it. But I'm done with everything else.

Earthshine
Center of the Universe
Star Wonder

Bright Moon
Earthly
Neo Nebula
Magnetic Attraction
Universal Appeal
Sky

Fire Sign x2
Venus x2
Cut a Caper x2
Cusp of Dawn x2

Meteoric x2
Celestial Kiss x2
Astral x2
Galaxy Rose x2
Strictly Plutonic

286 Brush

Even though they're not listed as part of this collection, I got the 130, 128 and 234 brushes to use with the MSFs and MESs. I already own the 187 brush. I didn't purchase any blush because I favor NARS and La Femme more.

I just added everything. The math tells me I spent way too much. My heart says joy has no price tag.
CartoonChic, can I come and play with your goodies?

I would love to see more pictures showing what the products look like on. Also, what looks you guys have come up with. I Really loved this collection and I want to get more but I want to see what else should be added to my collection. Unfortunately, YouTube doesn't have too many videos. Kind of a first.... That really sucks!

My camera is misplaced currently, but when I find it, I'd like to show Fire Sign - it's turned out to be pretty underappreciated, but on me, it's a beautiful MLBB, especially with Star Wonder or Stratus on the cheeks.

I too have thoroughly enjoyed hauling HC! My final picks were:

Light Year
Star Wonder
Earthshine
Ring of Saturn
Stratus
Supernova
Neo Nebula
Invincible Light
Earthly
Water
Sky
Universal Appeal
Galaxy Rose

I'm waiting on receipt of Light Year and Star Wonder BUs and was considering a BU of Neo Nebula, but I have so many pretty purple shadows that aren't getting enough love right now :\

So I think I'm going to buy my first ever backup and order another light year. I realized today, that I was already panicking about using up my light year, so I was trying to use it as sparingly as possible. That just tells me how much i love the product when I'm panicking over the thought of using up a brand new product and already trying to ration when I should use it.

I may slip a Center of the Universe into my online cart. And possibly a Celestial Kiss, Meteoric, and Cut a Caper. Possibly... lol.

I ordered 6 items from the collection from www.Nordstrom.com
3 MSFs: Light Year / Star Wonder / Center of the Universe
2 MBs: Super Nova / Ring of Saturn
1 Lipstick: Venus
here is my detailed review and swatches:
The first one is Light Year; this is by far me favorite from the bunch.
MAC describes it as "Peachy pink with golden shimmer"

This has a lovely light peachy pink color, swirled nicely with a darker plumy pink and coppery golden shimmer. When blended on the skin it gives a lovely pinky glow with golden reflects.. I think it will be very usable, and is buildable to get lighter of heavier effect.
Here is the Swatch:
Second one is Star Wonder
MAC describes it as "Plumy Pink with multi-dimensional pearl"

This is a medium light pink, swirled with a lovely plum, golden and other colors.. I think it will be nice if used lightly as a highlighter or builded more layers to e used as a blusher
Here is the Swatch:
Third & Last one is Center of The Universe MSF
MAC describes it as: "Coral with Gold Shimmer"

From the first look.. O thought this will be suitable more as a blusher than a highlighter.. because highlighters are usually light while this is really rich in color! I See a Coral color, swirled with berry? And golden shimmer, I feel it will make a beautiful coral blush, and it has to be used lightly to get it as a highlighter.
Here is the Swatch:
And now let's move to the Mineral Blushes
I got 2 & Skipped 2
I swatched each one using my finger tip for heavy swatch "Right Side" and using MAC 109 Brush "one of my favorite brushes for applying blush" for blended swatch "Left Side"
First one is Super Nova Mineral Blush
MAC describes It as "Magenta and burnished gold mélange"

I thought this will e a neon hot pink! LOL, but it turned to be a nice Hot pink that is wearable and not very bright.. swirled with a burned golden color.. when blended out it will give a nice hot pink color with gold reflects.. this should e used with light hand & layered when needed.. Because it may be very strong and hard to blend when applied too much.
Here is the Swatch:
The second one is Ring of Saturn Mineral Blush
MAC describes it as "Terracotta and gold mélange"

Hmmm I don't see any gold in the pan! Maybe some reflects when applied, what I see in the pan is maroon with peachy light golden, mine has more of the color so when applied it gives a light color with golden reflects, but I think it will be stronger when taking from the darker color by the brush.
Here is the Swatch:

Here are pictures for my goodies

So I finally got the MES's I wanted and I think my haul is now complete.....although Venus l/s is so beautiful I'm considering a b/u. it really is the most perfect lip colour.

MSF's: Light Year, Star Wonder and Centre of the Universe.
MES's: Bright Moon, Neo Nebula, Universal Appeal and Magnetic Attraction.
Lipstick and gloss: Cut A Caper, Meteroic and Venus.

So in love with everything. I adore Light Year even more than I thought I would, I love how it looks pink in the pan but when swatched it's such a beautiful peach/coral.

The eyeshadows only arrived this morning so I can't wait to get playing with them!

I want to see more pics. of what folks are wearing as well.

I haven't looked on YouTube to see looks - I've just been gawking at everybody's awesome hauls!

Today I'm wearing that lovely blush combination again:

  • Earthshine as a highlighter
  • Stratus mb
  • Love Rush blush
  • Bronze bronzing powder as a contour

I'm loving the contouring now. It really makes my cheeks pop!

THANKS! to everyone who posted pics of their hauls.

I LOVE!!! eyeballing the gorgeous swirls! BEYOUTIFUL!

As for HK, I only got a blush. I do have 2 of the HK shopping bags. I remember my sister and I hitting the MAC store to check out the collection. I wasn't that impressed plus I'm not a HK fan.

My niece is though. I think my sister picked up a few things for her.

Indian Ink is available on the US MAC Pro site...
Hmmm?

In addition to your Pro list, pinkdollface, on US Pro:
Eyeshadows:
Vellum
Aqua
Sky Blue
Indian Ink

In addition to pinkdollface's Pro Blush List:
** (Flame Red is NOT listed on US MAC Pro)
Taupe
Burnt Pepper

** Apple Red is not listed on MAC Pro either unless I do a search for it. Then it pops up.

HTH
Good news for me! I just called mac pro amsterdam and they still have Apple Red, Flame Red, Burnt Pepper, Devil and all the other pro colours. The guy I had on the phone also told me that Cantaloupe was the most beautiful of them. Now I'm considering that one again too. I think I'll go on friday and pick up a couple more blushes (not that I need any) and maybe some shadows

I never backed up any product before....LY was the first BU I bought. It is just so versatile. I want to try it as an eyeshadow and adding a drop to the center of my lips...Of all my makeup, this product has become an everyday for me! I am waiting for fall to use some of the stronger colors..Earthshine and Center Of the Universe will look awesome with some og the plum and brick lippies they are showing for fall! So excited!!! :)

I have an empty spot in one of my blush palettes and I had decided on Cantalope myself! Let me know if you pick it up and how you like it! I'm waiting to order until the EC eyeshadows pop up.

I'll let you know for sure, but I think I won't get it. I like the look of the other blushes more. I have swatched Cantaloupe before and it's nice, but not as nice as some others from what I can remember.
