MAC style seeker

As is the norm, all the swatches are making my list grow. I'm not interested in Marilyn didn't buy a thing from By Request, so I'm gonna go ahead and get all the lipglasses and Hidden Treasure blush from this collection. Restless is my type of color so I knew I'd be getting that, but I was sure hoping to avoid Eclectic Edge. Ready to Roam is quite pretty, but nothing surprised me like Hidden Treasure! That is one pretty blush. I'm with those who usually do NARS blush, in fact the only blushes I have from MAC that I use is Bite of Apple and Ambering Rose. However the color of Hidden Treasure is stunning so I'm going to give it a try.

OT but what eyes and lips do you wear with Bite of an Apple? I never know what to pair with that blush.

It looks good with a retro/classic look...like neutral or smoky eye with a wing...

The blushes in this collection are really cute, but I've decide to skip everything due to the vacation I'm gonna have.. as I already said I have the chance to buy some Nars and Bobbi Brown stuff which are not sold here in Italy and I must save for them *__*

I feel the same way, I only own 4 MAC blushes and then I have about 20 NARS the first time I tried them I actually got the Danmari palette and fell completely in love I had never really been a blush person but after getting this palette all I wanted was to get all their blushes. I have to say that Taj Mahal is my favorite blush, it looks so amazing on deeper skin tones I think all girls NC40 AND NW and deeper should own this blush. Of all the products I own this is the only product that I have ever hit pan on twice which reminds me I need to get another soon the one I have is almost done.

I love NARS blushes because they are so pigmented meaning I can use a light hand and they last forever. Their wear time is also excellent. I'm not one to reapply makeup so it's worth the investment for me. What do you think about the Joie de Vivre palette for our darker skin tones? (I'm NC45) Do you think it's too light overall?

I'm not one to reapply makeup so it's worth the investment for me. What do you think about the Joie de Vivre palette for our darker skin tones? (I'm NC45) Do you think it's too light overall?

Honestly I love it I'm NC44 and I don't find it too light I love it, I usually pair the lighter blushes with laguna and it balances the colors Altaboros can be a bit light but when used with a good light and well blending hand it is a great highlighter you have to work it a bit but overall its a great palette although Danmarie is much better for us deeper girls. My only issue with the Joie is the use of orgasm once again I wish they stop putting it in all their palettes.

Hidden Treasure and Local Wares are still on my list. Supercontinental is a maybe.... it looks pretty good in Allura's video and it looks so ashy pink on Karen's swatch photo but on her cheeks it doesn't lol. I have more than two weeks to decide what I'm planning to buy.. Edit: Prob gonna pass up Supercontinental, it looks so darn pink on every photo. I want a coral!

Hmm, I thought I'd be skipping this collection entirely, but after seeing the swatches now I'm thinking I'll pick up a couple of mattenes, 2-3 lipglasses and maybe a blush or two. But I will swatch everything in person first, I tend to buy less that way.

Thanks so much for your help. I gave Danmari to my blush-fiend daughter for Christmas (she'd stolen my old, panned Outlaw and loved it) and am kicking myself that I didn't keep one for me. I was hating the double Ogasm as that color isn't all that great on me. I got Joie de Vivre, but the colors don't seem as suited for us like you said (compared to Danmari). I haven't swatched it in case I decide to sell it or give it to my daughter as a gift.

Sorry to be OT. Back 2 MAC! I'm loving the l/g colors in this collection, but don't want to have any more open containers so I'm going to have to let those pass. I need to make a decision about my NARS palette before I commit to more blushes so I'll have to let those go, too. Keep the swatches coming, though. I love looking at them on all the skintones.

I haven't really decided on this collection just yet but the l/g look amazing but I want to save up for the holiday season and the Marilyn lipsticks I think I'm getting all of them except for the nude one. Anyways the blushes do look amazing I'll have to try them out specially hidden treasure, one thing I see no one is really paying attention to is the eye shadows I am really looking at Marche aux puces I love both the colors I just wonder if I can depot them I hate keeping them on that container much more clutter

I LOVE how Hidden Treasure looks on Karen. We're a close-ish skintone match so I think it'll look pretty on me too. I had written off Supercontinental coz I thought it'd be too light on my skintone but it also looks so lovely on Karen.
