Whatever the date may be, I'm just glad I remembered correctly about Nordstrom launching collections at midnight PST, haha!

So I went down to the local Macy's and Nordies {same mall} and talked to my Chanel gal. First off to make sure she had me down for the winter holiday goodies I want {shipping on 1st she says} and I asked about the MM coll. She said she saw it last night and big meh lots of white e/s and red l/s but I asked her to see if she could get one of the SA to show them to me and maybe do a pre-order. The SA said on the 4th no preorders no peeks!!! So at Nordies I asked if I could see and the SA said she had not even gotten them yet but only expected 3 of any given item. She says that for a while now that is all they get cus they are smaller collections?

My order is showing as shipped but I had only ordered l/s hoping to scope out the BP and ES in person at a counter. I mean with liner and/or gloss you can make almost any l/s work as a stain if nothing else. I am being tempted by SI just cus you gals are so crazy for it but I am afraid it will be orange on me as it is so I guess my not ordering it and it being sold out so fast is a sign from above. I will be consoled by my Chanel & Guerlain holiday collections. I am so excited about those.

I prefer to overnight my big orders so that I don't have to worry about $$$ sitting out there.
My MM order was only $71 though, so I went freebie shipping

temptalia's swatches of the eyeshadows look really bad. But other swatches have looked way better than hers. Anyway, she gave the shadows a D.

I was able to purchase the lipsticks i wanted and decided to go with the preferred blonde eyeshadow. I'm bummed that some who were loyally stalking the site did not get a chance to purchase. Ugh!

I have to admit i am a bit bothered by one recent review I've seen on YouTube about the collection. before i start i just want to apologize in advance for what I'm about to express....i hope this doesn't offend anyone.

So i was watching this one lady on YouTube going on about how much is "obsessed" with Marilyn Monroe..blah blah blah. she said she didn't care what the products were, she was just going to get them for the packaging, how shes heard from people to look past the packaging that a lot of the products aren't any good...her response? "i don't care I'm not going to even use the products probably" umm...excuse me? wow so you bought things that others could have very well gotten good use out of just for a picture on a box???

Don't get me wrong, I'm not against anyone who is a fan of anything but i got very annoyed at the fact that things have sold out so quickly (whether pro or regular site) and to be honest, I'm sure its because of people like this. making purchases simply for show and tell or because of an obsessive collective habit.

Again my apologies and i in now way am i telling anyone what they can or can not buy or better yet, do with their money. It's my opinion and as well do, have a right to express it =)

Why couldn't she just print the pictures??? Seriously, is she going to let those products expire? And then what? That pisses me off!!!

Finally caught up with this thread. I'm so sad that it sold out so fast and that a lot of you weren't able to get what you wanted. I hope you all can still get the things you want in store or on other sites. A bit off topic but I got myself two YSL Rouge Pur Couture The Mats lipsticks today number 205 Prune Virgin and 202 Rose Crazy with 40% off! Hallelujah!! Unfortunately the girl that helped me put 201 Orange Imagine in my bag instead of 202 Rose Crazy, but I called and I can exchange it. Rose Crazy was sold out right now, but they'll call back once they get a new shipment. I might ask tomorrow if I can get my money back and buy at another store. I think the 202 Rose Crazy colour could be very similar to Love Goddess. I'll compare them when I get Love Goddess. The shades I got are europe and asia exclusive I believe, but I could do some cp's. They are permanent so that's nice. Here is a swatch of 205 Prune Virgin over Mac's Currant lipliner.


I love this colour! The lightning wasn't the best, it's a tiny bit lighter IRL (more true to colour if you click on the pic to make it larger), because it was very cloudy, but you get the idea. I really wanted to show you guys 202 Rose Crazy because it's awesome! I checked these lippies out because shontay raved about this formula in one of the Mac threads. That's why I'm posting it here and because of the possible dupe for Love Goddess.

Oh, okay! Thanks for clarifying. I was so excited to have found a dupe for Love Goddess, but on my skin, it looked way too bright!

I can totally see the difference now, I just tried it on my arms (I used self tanner).. Love Goddess is darker now, while on pale skin it was very similar. Next time, I will compare them on tanned skin so there won't be any confusion!

Those shadows were just unbelievable bad when I swatched them. For the price, you can find better shadows at the drugstore. Like I said in my initial review, some people are into that sheer, shimmery thing so have at it. It's not worth my money, though and I think the recommendations Temptalia gave for replicating that look: Crystal Avalanche, Dazzlelight, Contrast and Electra are ten times better than these MM shadows.

I still think I want Showgirl because it just looks gorgeous.

Edit: She gave replacement shadows? That's awesome! I will probably skip Showgirl then.

You know what? I'm returning the BP and blush. I don't feel bad about it either. I don't return too much, but I'm not into eating the cost of a product. We buy things and sometimes we get it right and other times we get it wrong. The return policy is there for a reason and if it's not being abused, it should be used.
