Ok so, I went to my fav counter to try to get Pure Zen, there were maybe 8 people in front of me at 9:50. The first 3 or 4 people got the lippies and BP. There was hardly anything left when I got to the register because there was a line and only one at a tiem could go up. The other counter sold out completely before they opened according to the other people in line behind me. It looked like the entire line from the other migrated to this one but were all still too late. Several people were pissed, like enraged. One chick was seriously crying. I was good because I was just hoping for PZ and a BP back up. It was as bad as Black Friday. The employees looked stressed and were quite pissy for the most part, so I am sure it sucked all the way around today.

I found a store and placed a phone order for Pure Zen in MM packaging. Darn you Mac Guy!!! I know I will love it because I wore A Perfect Day today and loved it. I also love Hue. Thank you deeply for the Belk kink. I knew some stores had counters but didn't know they had it online. I ordered some BP backups there. I hope I get them but if I don't oh well. 4 will be fine if I am careful with it. I am glad a lot of people have been able to get what they wanted in at least some portion. That makes me feel a lot better but the ebay peeps still have me so pissed. I know at least a few people here in town that only buy for ebay profit.

Finally freaking done with this collection!!! My nordies pre order pulled through and I got my love goddess. After all is said and done i got 2 BP, both blushes, da and lg, how to marry, preferred blonde, beet l/l and that's it!! Big sigh of relief.

wow I was just reading your experiences ladies and woah all I have to is glad I was not in the middle of that madness, thank God for online stores lol. I'm not good with crowds, I get tired fast and anxious, but I'm glad your all safe! and no one is hurt! :D Now you can all sit back and relax and catch up on sleep, after all we need beauty sleep LOL

That could explain why such limited quantities. Granted it was super dumb of them not to realize what the demand would be for this collection....

This is what I was thinking too. Just a hunch that I have. My guess is that they had to pay a lot of $$ to use the pics and that the $$ amount is somehow tied to product number. Maybe the MM estate limited the amount that could be produced to make the collection exclusive to bolster the MM brand/image/legacy/etc.

Were you at Valley Fair? I probably saw you. I casually walk in at 1005 and see hardly anybody there and then find out they sold out of everything. How lame of that lady. yes I went to valley fair ;) my cuzn n I were sitting next to the nordstrom cafe till 8 then we went outside ( I did a few laps going back towards the cafe n Mac store to check for lines while my cuzn waited at the store entrance outside). Nordstroms opened the door at 9:50 and there was about 15-20 ppl behind us. me n her were the first in line to order n she got the last love goddess. no beauty powders... after that we ran to the Mac store but the line was out the front entrance so then we flew to Macy's. they had eyeshadows n nail polish only, so we left. then we decided to go back and my cuzn got the last two nail polishes .the eye shadows were all gone. the sales girl seemed sad and said she didn't get one item from the collection. my box from my 430 am order last week was delivered with all my lipsticks n beauty powder while i was out and waiting for me when i got home ;) so now im just waiting for my nords order ( which STILL only says label created!) with my phiff dazzle gloss , stage red nail polish. and silver screen eyeshadow. I might end up giving that. ( silver screen) to one of my friends for Xmas since she wasn't able to get anything and shes a huge marilyn fan. I already have preferred blonde and how to marry. I actually had to go back to VF becuz in all that madness, I forgot I had to pick up a $100 gift card for my uncle to give my other cousin. the Mac store had everything set out, but it was all sold out they had no stickers on them or anything I thought that was rude to have it out when there's nothing available! then I went back to nords to put the money on my card for getting my other cousins items and all nords had was liners and nail polish n brow stuff... got on another list for glamour days so hopefully by being on two list I'll get a call to pre order! I def do not want to do this again! ( but I will if its something I hella want lol). and yes it was just like black friday

Oh my goodness, ladies! I was thinking of swinging by my store tomorrow just to look at what's left of MM and maybe b2m for Mehr but dayum. I don't think I want to go and witness the MM craze!

and yes I am exhausted!!! I kno I'm not the only one tho lol. now I feel like I can get back to life. maybe start on my Homework for my classes I started last week?!? lol tommorow..... after I eat dinner I'm going to bed I'm too tired to even play with my new goodies!

Oh and my MM MAC frenzy story for the day...

I preordered my FM BU from my favorite MAC MUA. I honestly thought that I would miss out on getting it b/c of all of the hype. Plus I could not get to the store until after work. I went to the store anyway, and my MUA was able to hide it (LOL) in the store. So I did end up with my BU.

But that is not the crazy story. While she was ringing me up, she told me about the craziness this morning. When the cleaning crew arrived at the mall this morning at 6 am, there was already a line of people outside the mall waiting for the MAC store to open. The cleaning crew opened the doors to the mall, and everyone charged/ran to the MAC store to get in line in front of it. Now this is still at 6 am. MAC store does not open until 10 am. When the opening MAC employees showed up around 8 am, they had to get escorted into the store by security and almost called the police a couple of times. The women outside the store were in a MM frenzy and not behaving. Security had to remain at the store until basically everything that was not on preorder was sold out.

Still trying to catch up on posts, but I got kinda worried b/c I was reading about people's pre-orders getting cancelled. Called my SA this morning and she sounded SLAMMED. She was rushing through the call, I could hear tons of voices in the background and multiple phone lines were ringing off the hook. But, luckily she assured me that all my items have been pulled and set aside in the back for me. I'm looking forward to picking everything up tomorrow!

She also told me that (surprise, surprise) everything was pretty much sold out. The only things they had left were nail polishes, some eye shadows and the lip liners. HOWEVER, she did give me some "intel" and let me know that they're getting another shipment in tomorrow. She said I had another chance to get things if I either get there when they open or call in early. Thinking about picking up Legendary blush if it's available.

Maybe the MM estate wanted to make this collection more on the "exclusive" side? More of a collector's type group of products that are hard to get.

I'm surprised they let her buy 5 of everything period, my stores here did not let you buy more than one of any item. Sad shame

Holy cow that's nuts! I just called my store for the hell of it and she said they still have everything in stock. They are having a huge event this weekend where they are basically taking over the center of the mall I wonder if that's why they have so much stock. When I was there earlier they were slammed with people.
