I'd like to share a bit of an email that I got today. I felt really bad that I wasn't able to get what I wanted from MM initially. I was having a bit of a pity party. At no time did I blame the wonderful MUA at my favorite counter. Unfortunately, I didn't think about what the poor employees were going through. I sent a "thank you" email to my friend who is the counter manager and this is what I got back (I edited out her comments about the holiday collection and put them in that thread if you want to read those):


Hi April! I wanted you to know I forwarded that email on to both my department manager AND store manager. As you can imagine, this weekend was a weekend of back to back apologies due to the minimal availability. TORTURE!! Don’t tell her I told you, but Melissa was seriously in tears regarding having to tell you the fact that there was no product. I felt horrible for both of you, but she figured it out and I appreciate you sending me that email. We needed some positive reinforcement!! Thanks again for sending that email. It means a lot to us, especially a new MAC kid who has the end all be all MAC addict (that would be you!) disappointed. She was so upset! So thank you, talk soon!

So if you had a great experience or a MAC employee who made sure you got what you wanted from this insanely LE condition, take the time to say thank you and let their boss know. I am convinced that being kind and loyal as well as taking time to acknowledge good service is the reason that I have never missed out on an item I wanted in a LE collection in over 7 years. I love my counter!

I got the necklace and bracelt in crocodile, and of the snakes I got the snake necklace and bracelet that looks the same (turquoise), the green one, and the yellow one. I also got the crocodile glasses (and the turquoise bracelet with earrings that look the same but I'm gonna sell them cos my hand is too thick for the bracelet

try putting a stocking over your hand and slipping the bracelet on.

I need you to pick out my glasses for me. I went shopping for frames last week and just walked out the store confused (and hating my fat face LOL)

RuPaul was the face of MAC's Holiday Collection back in like 2000. There was a clear lipglass with soft colored glitter in it called Freezefrost in a squeeze tube kind of like the Lipgelee's. I still have it. LOL.

OMG!!!! I saw Prince when he was in Chgo two weeks ago. that man is still sexy in his 50's. Style and confidence for days. So yes, I can definitely imagine a sexy collex inspired by him. OMG!!! ~faints~ yeah Prince can get it. :-D

I applied it lightly, all over with a #129, then spritzed MCW on my face. Alternatively, I used it on top of my under-eye concealer that I applied in triangular shape. I love it both ways.

you applied the powder in a triangle shape or your undereye concealer? What are you using for concealer?

I ordered Beet, Cherry and Redd liners yesterday from Nordstrom. I know I could've just walked into a store and purchased them, but I was specifically waiting to buy them online yesterday to take advantage of a promotion that my credit card was doing. I also picked up the 215 brush in anticipation of the EDES from Glamor Daze. I would've ordered the 231 brush too to use as a lip brush, but Nordstom doesn't have it on their website. Anyway, I can compare them to my NYX liners when they arrive. I'm pretty sure there will be dupes, but I don't know the exact shades. I'm thinking NYX Hot Red could be a dupe for Cherry, but that's just from memory.

Nice haul. When you get the goods I'd be interested in knowing which of the MM lippies is most suitable with the Cherry liner. I have the others, along w/burgundy that someone suggested went well w/Deeply Adored. Thanx!
