MAC x Archie's Girls (Betty & Veronica) Collection Discussion (February 2013)

This collection is going to be even crazier than Marilyn Monroe! I do hope to see the color story to have a preliminary list ready.

I'm tempted to pick up a couple of items for my daughters (the special packaging feels too young for me to want to carry it around), but not unless it's easy to get. Thanks to Gracie and TXBeauty, I got the MM items I wanted but I'm not going to that kind of effort again to give MAC my money.

It's crazy that the hyped up items ends up getting out of hand and it sells out too quickly and ends up on Ebay 3 times the price of the original price of the product. I always end up getting sucked into the hype lol

I'm hoping I won't be excited for this collection, since I'm now interested in a whole bunch of stuff from the January ones... I will, of course, keep an eye out for purples.

The reason for this is that we European Specktrettes don't feel any connection to the comics, and honestly, the packaging leaves me stone cold.

But actually I'm quite happy about it, my wallet needs to recover!

I see there will be new pigments available Spring/Summer 2013 called Cheers My Dear and Lucky In Love. I wonder if those are the names of the new Archie's Girls pigments. And a Lipglass named Summer Sweetheart.

Cheers My Dear was in one of the Tartan Tale mini pigment sets I think (I'm not sure if it had been released before that). It's a kind of frosted lilac-pink.

me neither, it needs to have some great colors for me to want to buy anything. I liked Archie comics when I was a kid & the packaging is cute but its not inspiring me to buy anything for the packaging alone, on the same note I wouldn't not buy something because of the packaging. This collection for me will be purely for the products themselves

I'd really like to know the color story of this collection. My mom would go nuts for this one because she's a fan of Archie's comics and she would buy some of the comics for me as a kid. I forgot if she was a Betty or Veronica fan (probably Veronica). I really hope that at least one of the lipsticks will be either a red, orange-coral, or peach, but that might be a bit of a far cry.

I'm afraid I'm on the "not too excited for this one" train, but it makes me feel better that it seems I'm not the only one. I wonder though: If it had been themed around something I was more into (not a big Archie fan myself), would I be looking forward to these products? As it stands, I'll just be grateful that I don't see anything here catching my eye right now becauseGlamour Daze and the Mineralized collection will totally clean me out.

Don't get me wrong. I love a red lippie, but... I'm redded(is that a word) out and I don't need another red lipstick for awhile unless there is a blackened red or dark blood red color. I love darkened red lips.

I´m swedish and I love Archie comics.

You're right... It was the Cool Thrillseekers Set. I'll have to look at it again and see if I liked that one. I rarely touch those pigments! It's a shame I don't reach for them more...
