Shontay I can not believe you said your face looks fat. NO such thing at all.  Thanks so much for posting pics. I really like the idea of this better tan say trying to work with different browns. I've never tried contouring before so I'm thinking I should try the magic powder ball. Any brush recommendations or does the brush that comes with it work okay?
You're welcome, MissTT. Funny you should ask about the brush. I have a few Chanel blushes and I always toss or misplace the brush, but this time I decided to play with it. It's actually not bad at all! It picks up the color and it blends it out just fine. However, it's small and I don't love the shape to contour. I used a real techniques setting brush. I love all of those RT brushes so much. They're amazing. I think you can use different kinds of brushes, though. Perhaps an angled contour brush, which I do own, works just fine.

I've been meaning to make it to Ulta to try the RT brushes, but it's in another town and I just haven't gotten there. I have an angled blush brush I don't use anymore so maybe I'll try that, but I think I need to invest in more brushes.
Btw, quit hiding those pretty eyes behind specs.

Still can't really capture how pretty it is on the eyes. It's like a satin finish and natural despite the color.
Lovely!

Actually Shontay, you're warm on the top and sort of cool on the bottom (around the mouth and jawline). I noticed that the first time I saw you in MUFE #173. It does something different on the bottom of your face. It's fine through your forehead and t-zone. You're best suited to warmer skin toned foundations (not neutral ones) because they work well with both tones of your skin.

Most people have at least two 'colors' in their face. Most WOC have an average of FOUR. The goal is to find shades/colors that translate well for the entire face, so that everything looks uniform.

You look fabulous! It really works great on you. Isn't it the weirdest color magic powder

I really really love it on the eyes. This has to be the strangest color I own.

Its sold out already!? Whoa
It SOLD OUT already? Sheesh. I think mine is still on the truck for delivery today.

I KNEW it would work on warmer skin tones! It's the red undertone in that dusty charcoaly mauve color... translates it into a 'shadow' on warm skins. I can't WAIT to try it!

I use this brush...

...almost exclusively. I also have a By Terry one that works wonders. I've had this Chanel brush for YEARS (I have the old one with the gold ferrule) an it has never lost its shape. I've put that poor thing through the paces, and it still works beautifully. For contouring, you can't beat it.

 Thanks for that explanation, Ingenue. I noticed awhile back that I'm darker around the jawline. I guess that makes it difficult sometimes to get a perfect match. I never noticed MUFE HD is different on the bottom half of my face. I haven't worn it in so long, I might just break it out to see. My favorite foundation right now is the D&G creamy foundation. I'm actually wearing it in those pics. I think it's really good for my dry skin. Sometimes MUFE HD would be drying on my skin (especially during the winter), so I stopped using it on a regular basis. Of the 4 MUFE foundations I own, Face and Body and Liquid Lift are my favorites.

I really need to buy a Chanel brush. I owned one a few years ago, a powder brush I think but it was scratchy. I gave it away. They have new brushes now, right?

Yep, they have all new brushes. I have the old eyeshadow brushes too. They're pretty good.

That D&G foundation is great for you because it neutralizes BOTH parts of your face. It looks really good on you! We're just a bunch of different colors (I'm light in the center of my face and forehead, and dark all around the edges). I've accepted it.

I REALLY want Notorious... Do we know if Nordie's or Macy's will be carrying this in-store?
I heard vague rumors about Nordstrom getting it later on but I have no idea if they were true or not. Try calling the Saks mentioned in BTiB's blog entry that I linked on page 13 of this thread and ask for free shipping.

Oh dear. I just got off the phone with Saks Chevy Chase. Thanks Winthrop for mentioning them. The first thing I asked is if they had a GWP. The SA said yes and I think I lost all reasoning at that point. Some how the $175 purchase to qualify didn't quite register in my head. I just heard the "yes" to GWP.

I'm getting Notorious shipped from another store. I also added Malice and L'Impatiente from the 2012 Holiday collection. Then I included Passion RA, Tentation and Holiday nail polishes to round out my order and to qualify for the GWP. These are all items I was already planning to purchase, but I don't think I was planning to get them all at once. Oh well. I'm happy to be getting my own magic powder!

I think after this haul, I'm good with Chanel purchases for a while. Strike that last statement. That's not true. I have a possible pending CP purchase and there's still a couple of more polishes I'd like to get. Oh dear.

I received an email from my Nordstrom SA a week or so ago to pre-sale it so I'm assuming at least some Nordies counters are getting it.

:haha: Girl, I have that unique Chanel joy/pain for you. That's because you ordered some great stuff, but I have an idea of what it costs. I get that feeling whenever I make a Chanel purchase. It's exquisite pain.

I feel your pain. That Tentation nail polish is STUNNING. It's one of my favorites for the season.
