Same with me katred. I really should just stop, but I can't. I am so interested in Jet, Firm Form and those purple mattenes coming out. I just can't help myself when it comes to lipsticks. I need a Lipstick Anonymous meeting and soon.

Not sure how I missed this, but thank you mrsdee! Strong Woman is a definite for me. Purple, matte and a dube for Heroine plus the name alone. YES!

YES. YES. and YES to all the reasons got getting Strong Woman! I am trying to resist but will most likely purchase all the lippies. seriously considering joining the Lipstick anonymous group. LOL

I can't remember the last time I finished a lipstick. Actually, I think it was my previous tube of "O", which got used up chiefly because I was using it on a film shoot. I don't think I have anything else that's remotely close to being used up. Does that mean I shouldn't buy any more lipsticks until I "make some room"?

incidentally, how are you storing your lipsticks within that drawer?
at the moment i've kept my lipsticks in a big tupperware that pretty much holds the lippies upright...but only if they're tightly stacked together!!!
is there a montreal chapter of lipsticks anonymous?

I'm so with you all about lipsticks. They are truly my weakness. Party Parrot really is awesome! I know it's fall but I busted that puppy out the other day. And fell back in love with it. I used to be scared of bright and vampy lips, but now I love them. I'm so ecstatic about the purple lippies!

Party Parrot is such an all-year-round color, really! It's not too pastel or milky, but not too deep and strong either, plus not totally red, pink or coral. I bought BUs right when IA came out, so I think I'm covered, but for anyone who hasn't tried it out, it really was one of the best MAC lipstick shades this whole year, if not the 100% best.

Hi, ladies can someone answer a quick question for me please, whats the difference between Mac's Normal matte lipsticks and Mac's Mattene lipsticks?.
Its just that i read some where on the site that the strong women lipstick thats coming out in the "Strength collection" is a mattene and is suppose to be a dupe to heroine, but heroine is a matte lipstick from the normal lipstick range if you get what i mean, so will there be a difference in texture or is the difference just in the tubing or something......sorry if i sound dumb

Ok so looks like we have a name for the Violet lipstick "Strong Woman" (I've also been told its a great dupe for Heroine)
"Strong Woman" is described as a bright Violet matte, to be released with the Strength collection.

I hear all the lipsticks in that collection will me matte. (not 100% sure though)

In terms of the difference between formulas, Mattene lipstick are a lot creamier than matte, to me they are like a mixture of aplified cremes and matte formulas..

A lipstick called "Strong Woman" that's coming out in Strength collection is a regular matte lipstick, not a mattene, as in the quote below from earlier in this thread

Mattenes are a little bit creamier and not as matte as matte lipsticks i also find them lighter on the lips, as if you weren't wearing a lipstick. But from what i've understood the lipsticks in strength are matte, the mattenes are in taste tempations!

Got a chance to check out the book again today. Here's the scoop:

This collection was originally set for Jan. but it's been pushed up to Dec. 26th!

This is the collection with Pink Pigeon and Party Parrot and Firm Form. There's also a matte violet lipstick that my MA said was like Heroine and one other color (if I recall correctly, it's a med. blue pink, but I'm not 100% sure).

There are 2 quads, each with 3 new colors and one repromote. One is neutral with pale white, grey, taupe and the warm black, which is a repro called Black Magique. The other quad is a variety of lavenders and purples, including a repro of Heather Belles (from Tartan Tales).

There are 2 blushes, one called Taupe Shape, described as "satiny taupe", with a Satin finish, and another that's a soft "pinkish brown".

I didn't want to just copy out of the book, out of respect for my MA, so no full color story, but this one definitely is a winner and you are all going to bug the hell out at that promo image!
