That's not even the reason for my...loss of words. That first lipstick just was not working.
Yup, Tyrone Biggums lips are never a good look.

I was going to order the lip bags and then pick them up, but I see shy girl is in the coral bag and that doesn't look like it'll work on me. So, now I've soured on the pink bag, too. I'm really nonchalant about this right now. I will need to see it in person. Maybe tomorrow b/c I wouldn't get to Nordstroms until much later than I'd like.

That's exactly what I was thinking and is why I'm passing on Beauty. I don't feel like having to do a bunch of stuff to force a color to work on me. I'm fine with using lip pencils because I do that anyway. But I want to wear a gloss because I want to, not because I have to. I'll give Innocence a shot, though, because I think the peach color could work maybe as a nice nude. If it doesn't, back it goes.

Guys, help me please. I want to buy all EDES, but I won't...which shades do you think are the most unique? Any thoughts? :)
The EDES that stand out the most for my tastes are Divine Blue, Stylishly Merry, Ready to Party and Stolen Moment. I also think Tall, Dark & Handsome can be blended with any color to make a really pretty smokey eye (which is a technique I haven't attempted yet).

I just called to double check on my MM order and I said I just wanted to double check if the items I ordered werent cancelled. So the girl that was helping me gives me a list of items I didn't order so I asked her to double check the order number but weirdly it was under my name lol so I just cancelled it:shock: *sigh* oh well I guess.I didn't know emotions could go so high and then so low in a matter of minutes

Off Topic but I just wanted to brag on the difference in quality between Nordstrom and MAC's live Chat. I chatted with MAC about their return policy's and they were so rude to me. But then I chatted with Nordies about trying to find an order number because I want to return the Red lipglass from the Hey Sailor collection (too orangy for me) which i bought back in June and they spent so long going through my orders to find it for me. The best! I wish all stores had customer service like Nordies.

Add this to my list of reasons of why I purchase from Nordies instead of directly from MAC! I remember I tried to return Razzledazzler lipglass b/c it smelled funny (and this seemed to be more common than not b/c I remember a few other Specktrettes experienced this) and MAC was SO RUDE to me about it. They made it seem like I was lying about it and offered me a replacement as "one time courtesy". I just wanted to return it (A. so they could see/smell the proof B. so I could just get my money back). I wasn't trying to rip them off and get something for free.

, I usually don't like the MAC travel brushes, but I'm kinda digging the GD sets. I want the mineralize set but I don't really care for the 187 (I never use my full size brush simply because I prefer other ones). Is the set still worth getting since I'll be using all the other ones? I know some of the brush sets usually end up at the CCO but I wonder if they really did cut down the quantity produced?

Edited to change "comment" to "common" LOL

Thank you so much, this was really helpful :) From those you suggest, I think I will only skip stylishly merry

I think Razzlerdazzler may be a defective shade. Mine went rancid in only a few months and had a horrible plastic smell. It had the vanilla scent in the beginning. Luckily I didn't experience rude customer service when I called about it. The agent I spoke to just gave me an address label to return it.

I don't have any of the mac travel brushes, but from whant I've heard of them...I imagine that obviously they don't have the same quality as the regular brush, but in my opinion this doesn't mean they are bad :S I guess I'll take my chances and buy one of the sets, if I don't like the quality, I can skip it next time ^^

Just got all of my goodies from the Nordies site and made it my personal triple points day! The only things I couldn't get are the blush sets since they are MAC exclusive, but I'm hoping my boyfriend will get those for me for holiday gifts :)

I was looking at my (very) old and (very) loved 129 brush the other night and compared it to one of the 129 brushes from the Nordstrom's anniversary sale travel kit and they look soooo different. I thought, "Well maybe they just changed the design, mine is pretty old" but then I went to the counter and was looking at the brushes and they are same as my old one but the travel kit bristles are just taller and not as fluffy. BUT I will say that they are still very nice brushes, just not exactly like the big brushes.

+1

Nordie have the best customer service ever!

this happened twice to me,

I always order my stuff from them to my US shipping address where it gets forwarded to me (Ships internationally)

one time I got a broken Flower fantasy powder (what collection was that?!) first I tried sending them email but they said I have to return it first, I sent an email back saying I am not in US & shipping it back will cost me more than it's price! then while waiting a replay on my email I thought of chatting with them, I explained what happened & they immediately issued a refund for me (asked me if I wanted refund but the powder had pure color payoff any way!)

Second time I got the Volcanic Ash Exofliator.. it was broken for top, again they issued a refund for me (& I ordered it again with my next order)

they're really professional =)
