MAC Strength Collection Discussion (December 2012)

I like the whole concept of this collection....it screams " I am woman hear me roar! " lol. Anyways I'm only interested in 2 lippies which are Absolute Power and Firm Form...pending more info/swatches of course.

A good suggestion (and yes, it's a PRO item). I bought it when it came out in the Fall Colour (originally Cindy Sherman) collection last year. It's a good dark blue violet -- and i also have Nightmoth which is darker and warmer (plummier).

I don't regularly wear lip liner. But I have quite a few medium and lighter toned violet MAC lipsticks and lip glosses -- such as Fresh Amour, Go For It, Quite Cute l/s; Flaunting It "kissable lip color"; Explicit, Docile, Morning Glory, I U, Butterfly Dream, Cinestyle, Asian Butterfly, Vacant l/g -- as well as some non-MAC ones. And i think some of these light colors could benefit from a little more definition.

I must be nuts. I ordered Chanel Notorious without seeing it in person - it should arrive early next week. I love its neutrality and unusual character - grey taupe . But i'm not sure if i'll love its shimmer. I like shimmery highlighters and some shimmery blushes, but i'm concerned about shimmer in a contour. Oh, well, i can always put some matte powder over it.

Ha, I ordered it sight unseen AND I've never contoured before. Never even used bronzer. I'm nucking futs, lilinah!

Oh no now I want it. I thought about just ordering Mac Sculpt when I finish Strada. Do you have that one? I like how complex JCs are.

Just pre-ordered my Pink Pigeon (x2) and Party Parrot (x2) and an Embrace Me liner. Feels good to have that stress out of the way!

I think this collection and AC are 12/26, and TT is in stores 12/13? I'd have to go back through the forums and check.

I just phoned the MAC store where I am a regular and asked if they were already accepting pre-orders for the Strength collection. She said that they were and I went ahead and placed mine. The process was a little different than I have had in the past. They had me buy a MAC gift card for the purchase total and they apply that to the order rather than just leaving my credit card number as in the past. She said they were expecting the product in early December (say what?!) but that she wasn't sure when I would be able to pick it up. I told her I had heard it was after Christmas and she said that sounded about right!

Like I said, I'm glad to have it out of the way!

this (Strength) collection is at Mac stores and online only. TT will be at macys for Black Friday preview and then at Mac stores/site on 12/13. I'm thinking it will be back at Macy's on the 13 as well but not sure I'm waiting for the Mac manager at Macy's to call me back with the info

That is super awesome! I was in today and they said that they would call me when it was ready for pre-order. I will be back next weekend just in case LOL

hmm I hope Nordstroms does get it!! the person who answered the phone at the one I called said no they weren't getting it or making pretty but I'm going to check again when I pick up my lavish rosé set I feel like I've been waiting forever to get it lol

Hmm, Naughty. My SA gave me the date for Making Pretty, too. She said the only MAC store exclusive was Strength. (I was pre-ordering with her through December LOL)

My Macy's told me they would release it on the 26th of December. I wonder if they were wrong. They said they would call me when they were ready to take pre-orders.

Exactly! lol i am going next week when it is slow and ask the people at Nordstroms what collections can i preorder for and do the same at macys lol. I already called the MAC store adn they said when they get teh sku numbers they would give me a call.....they usually do so ill wait a while before i call them again lol.
