MAC Taste Temptations Collection (November 2012; December 2012)

Now this is how a grey-lavender lipstick should look.

Come on MAC! I want NEED THIS COLORED LIPPIE NOW!!!!!! I also love the eyeshadow look. I would love a quad with different finishes and shades of purples like this picture.

So I mixed Digitalis and Butch Lip Tars together, and I did get a very similar color to Lime Crime Chinchilla. I'm confident you can get an exact match with more tweaking of the mixture.

Well, now I think I will skip all the mattenes except NI, but both blushes sound like they are have to haves. If I have Sakura and Full of Joy, do I need another purple blush??? (you know I am only being rhetorical now)

I'm with you Kimibos. My Mua told me that the Apres Chic lip balms are like a cremesheen and lip balm all in one. They sound amazing!

I have Sakura, Azalea Blossom and Vintage Grape blushes and get little use out of them so i'm still debating on getting any of these. Ive got my heart set on the other collections.

I know what collections are coming, i know what the collections feature - and i mean, even a collex that's coming out in a week or two. I can understand if they don't know what's coming out in a few months, but it seems odd when they don't even know what's coming out very soon.

I think that's true. When I was picking up my Marilyn order I mentioned the Archie's Girls collection to the Product Specialist. She asked me how I know about that and seemed surprised when I told her that it's all over the internet and that there are pics of the products out because they were being used in Fashion Week.

I don't even bother asking when collections are coming out; haft the time the SAs know nothing about them (even a week or two before launch - talk about just in time training) and the other half they're misinformed about the date. I just check here.

I suppose it's possible that we're getting the collection later than in the US, but I'd be surprised.

That's odd - we usually launch the same day at the US. I've been misinformed by so many SAs that I no longer go by what they say. Even in my MAC store I frequently have information that most of the SAs don't (although the Product Specialist or whatever she's called usually knows more).

The book says Jan. - I got it from the store manager it was pushed up, but if the SA was only going by the book, they might think it's Jan.

Personally, I was surprised it was pushed up in the first place, so if it falls back again to Jan. I don't think I'd be too shocked.

I love Sakura (one of my faves), but I really disliked FoJ and didn't buy it. I'm hoping this will be the one for me instead of FoJ, but from what I could tell from my MA, this one will be more in line with FoJ than Sakura, which is pinker. It sounds like both the blushes are the standouts in this collection, even beyond the mattenes - but yeah, I'm getting them too!!! The mattene formula has its issues but I still really like it a lot, especially on days when I just want something that feels lighter on my lips than lipstick (if only the Kissables came back in more colors....those feel the best!)

i have sakura. i really want this lavander blush to be cool with noo pink in it. i didnt get the tres cheek one.

I also have Sakura, so i hope it looks different...i didnt get any tres cheek ones....im goin to have to split up my order lol now that i know its going to be at nordstroms, im going to get half at macys and half at nordies since i want the whole collection it seems! lol i am interested in the purple fluidline, i think i might go try it at the store first since its permanent

Ive been a long time lurker (10yrs) o_0 with a very large collection thanks to Specktra & Live-journal...I always rely on you all for swatches & reviews but I cant seem to find any so ill post what I have....I went to Macy to get some of the crushed metal pigments & as i was leaving i saw they had this collection. When i walked back to work i took a quick pic before i washed my hands. The girls said this was Macy exclusive for Black Friday but digging deeper, I learned that the stores will get them in Dec sometime. Does anyone know when they'll release the collection at the pro store? I'm trying to use my discount & I dnt want to do that Black Friday think either just for some makeup. The pic is all the mattene, one gloss, & the bright blush. I didn't bother with that eyeshadow palette it was dry as hell, i think i took two swatches from that....i tried to post this last night but doing this on the Ipad was tragic...Seductive Intent & the blush Passionately Tempted are must haves it..Seductive Intent definitely has that Heroine finish thingy going on

Yayyyyy swatches!!!!! Is that Nocturnal Instincts on the bottom right (on your pointer finger)? It looks much more lavender than I was expecting based on the promo pic. And I'm guessing that's Seductive Intent next to it? Night Blooming is probably the one to the left of that, What's on the bottom left, kind of on the thumb knuckle? And is that big swatch Passionately Tempted? This is all so exciting!

Re: the release date- not sure when it will be at the Pro store, but we believe the regular release is scheduled for 12/13, with a 12/6 online release date.

It looks like 4 lipsticks were swatched - of the two on top of each other on the left, is the pinker one the mattene in this collection or the one below it? Inquiring minds want to know!! (Yes, we're ravenous for info on this collection, it's true!)

That's Up the Amp at the bottom....I was comparing the colors. The bright pink is Night Blooming, Seducctive Intent, & Nocturnal Instincts last. The gloss is Revenge is sweet, I think I'm going to get that too....the colors are sooo pretty!!
