I just got an email from Bloomingdales. They canceled my order. All I got was Seductive Intent.

on the bright side, at least you got seductive intent -- it was the hot item of this collection!
but i hope you are able to get your other items somehow....at least the collection is still to be released in some places.

No, I meant all I ordered was Seductive Intent and they canceled my order so I'm not even getting that!
But yeah, hopefully I'll be able to snag some items at a later date. Is this going to be at Macy's counters? If so, then I'll get my stuff. Hopefully!

And I have no idea why it was canceled. They didn't give a reason. Just an email saying SRRY WE CANCELED YR ORDER. Boo!

Sorry to hear your order got canceled. Macy's and Nordstrom should also get the collection. It will be in stores Dec 13th.

I know everyone's been getting their things by now. I only had a chance to see everything yesterday and won't be able to snag my bag until next Thurs.
A few little observations from moi:
Nocturnal Instinct is fantabulous. It was creamy on me and didn't have that weird dry thing a lot of last year's pale mattenes had on me. My MA laughed because it was the first one I tried - he thought I'd zoom straight to the purple.I have to pat Fresh Amour into my lips to make it work (it then looks great), but NI I don't even need to bother with that; it goes right on perfectly with no muss or fuss. I BU'ed it, although I've already got a BU of Fresh Amour and a BU of Quite Cute...it may take a while to get to the BU, and there will probably be more grey lavenders in the future, but this one is pretty darn excellent. All I can say is, I'm glad I can pull these colors off without a hassle.
I didn't think I would care about Night Blooming, but unfortunately for my pocketbook, it reads really purplish on me and very vibrant. I definitely prefer it over Pink Pigeon and even Petals & Peacocks. If a total stranger saw me in all three of these, I think they'd say they liked me in this one the best. Seductive Intent is so super too, I honestly feel like it's more all-year round than Heroine, because it's that little bit lighter.
Unconventional finally gave me what I've been looking for in a light lavender blush - such a beautiful sheen and smoothness. Same thing goes for Passionately Tempted. Part of me was saying "sweetie, you already are very happy with Supernova and Vintage Grape", but the sheen and blendability were what I've been hoping for for a long time. Temptalia saying it was too stiff was really not correct at all.
I was going to pass on all the glosses. I never cared for RIS on me - it goes old lady red plum when mixed with my lip color. My MA demanded I try Perky, though and yep, it made my lips look huge and lush, so I had to get it. It's going to look amazing on top of that Archie Girl's lavender pink pigment!!
The blue np applies really well, but it's not as vibrant as Breezy Blue, so hasta la vista! Same for the quad - it's pretty nice, but really pales in comparison to Frost At Midnight MES from Apres Chic - you could get the look of that entire quad just out of judiciously applying Frost At Midnight in the right combo of wet and dry over a good blue base like Imaginary p/p.
I am SOOOOOOO GLAD I was really restrained with Glamour Daze - I knew this awesomeness was on its way!

I must stay out of this thread. I was team.. skip all! LOL. I'm saving myself for Strength and Apres Chic. But I'm getting skippers remorse now reading all the wonderful reviews..

Yeah, I'm gonna have to skip this entirely. I really wanted those mattenes, but I want the goodies from Strength and Apres Chic more. All the mattenes that have come out over the past 18 months have come at a really bad time for me. LOL I'll get my hands on one of them some day!
I've experienced that with Bloomingdales and I've been leery of placing orders on their website ever since. They don't keep their website promptly updated when items go out of stock.
If you're unable to get SI at the counter, I have an extra one I can part with.

I WILL have to say that if you can only get one purple lippie, you will be happier with Seductive Intent than with Strong Woman, since it's clearer and brighter. You'll only prefer Strong Woman if you would rather have something deeper and a little more subdued.
Also, if you like a pink lipstick that leans purple, you will be happier with Night Blooming than Pink Pigeon, which is a truer pink.
Finally, Nocturnal Instincts is so beautiful, but if you'd rather have something a little easier to wear, Haute Altitude will take care of you. Also, there's the Niki Minaj Viva Glam 2, but i don't think that'll be as grayish.

If thats you in your avatar, I'd say get HA, whether you back up NI or not, because it's going to look really nice with your coloring.
There certainly will be more grey-lavender-pink colors in the future...as nice as NI is, there's always the latest and greatest that might be even better. Heck, I'm trying to tell myself this too, because I've got a BU on hold of NI and am trying to cut down one way or another.

All this talk of the mattenes makes me wish I didn't have to wait till payday. Bad timing with MAC and christmas shopping. I hope I can snag seductive intent when it hits stores.

Stopped by the MAC pro store in Dallas and I swatched NI & SI. They are so so beautiful NI does not show up grey on Me more in the muted mauve family. Its so beautiful and unique.

i got to play with my goodies today! i got night blooming, nocturnal instincts and passionately tempted. all super beautiful!
i can see nocturnal instincts easily being an everyday colour for me -- unusual but flattering and very wearable. night blooming is bright, but the finish makes it easier to wear for me than pink pigeon or party parrot type pinks.
and passionately tempted...i don't know how exactly it's different from magenta - i thought at first the difference would be imperceptible, but i find it looks super awesome, and it was easier to blend as well....
i feel like running out to get SI and unconventional too!
