To be honest I'm kind of surprised MAC went with the Old Archie Design, yeah it's classic but come on...the artwork is SO much better now. I feel like it would have been cuter to see different variations of Glam Betty and Veronica




The hair, makeup, and general attitude just leaps off the page so much better now. Once again, MAC made a good effort but once again they could have done so much better with the packaging.

I got not quite an event invitation in the mail, but more like an ad from Macy's for the collection. It told me to check which counters were having events, and pretty much all of the ones within half an hour of me are. The only way I'd go to one is if I still had my employee discount. That 20% sure helped out with Apres Chic.

When I called Macys this past weekend, they told me that they wouldn't be pre-ordering the collection but they could sign me up for the event and I could pre-sale at the event. Umm...the website lists the event as 2/15-17 so everything could be sold out by then...

Three of my counters are doing their events the 7th-9th while the Macy's I worked at for the holidays is having theirs on the 21st-23rd. Sense, it makes none. I'd rather just get to Gwinnett Place right as the store opens like I did for Apres Chic, grab my shit, and then get the hell out. XD

I like going to the Macy's counter and grabbing what I wasn't sure about online if I have the day of the counter launch off of work. The Sa's already know I know what I want but this time I have to order online. Its so much less stress when I can say I want a,b, and c and get out of there.

I had surgery last week and my pain medications (and pain, really) are keeping me up pretty much all night. While it's crappy it is perfect timing to allow me to stalk me some MAC! I'm off work and I can't sleep: A perfect collection stalking combination! Always have to look at the bright side, right?

When this collection was first announced, my anticipated haul was tiny. I remember reading the comics when I was little but I never really felt any sort of super connection to them and by the descriptions everything seemed pretty easily dupeable. However, now that I have seen swatches things are definitely taking a turn! There's so much that I want, but I almost wish it was in regular packaging so I didn't have to pay as much!

Daddy's Little Girl - Mid-Tone Pink Violet (Satin)
Boyfriend Stealer - Deep Blackened Plum (Cremesheen) I'm hoping this is sorta like a more opaque version of Clinique's Black Honey? It seems like I've seen conflicting opinions on this one
Ronnie Red - Bright Red (Matte)
Betty Bright - Light Vibrant Peach (Satin) (This is a new addition to my list. It seems like it is going to be a popular one, but I won't be heartbroken if I can't get it)

Lipglass
Mall Madness - Mid-Tone Pink Violet
Strawberry Malt - Bright Red
Feelin' So Good - Deep Blackened Plum

I can't believe I'm thinking of buying all 3 of Veronica's lipglasses! The last lipglass I bought was way back during the Wonder Woman collection and I've only work it a handful of times. I am *SO* not a gloss girl. It never seems to wear well on me, my hair gets stuck in it, and I really prefer a matte look BUT the color payoff on these looks so nice! The only lipglass I ever wear is Russian Red and Strawberry Malt looks like a nice alternative to that.

I'm also torn about the Pearlmatte powders. I have Play it Proper as a BP and I really like it. Also, I'm planing on getting Shell Pearl in the Year of the Snake collection. While I sorta like the idea of having the blush mixed in the compact, I feel like they would be more versatile separate. For those of you planning on getting the Pearlmatte powders are you going to try to isolate the colors and use them separately? Or just swipe across the compact and apply it as one shade?

So there ya go...My little list of 2 items has ballooned into 8 or 9. I was trying to keep it short but I just can't resist!
