MAC x Archie's Girls (Betty & Veronica) Collection Discussion (February 2013)

The mgr from the pro store I go to acalled me to tell me that I could come in and swatch everything, but I'd only be able to purchase what I wanted Jan. 31st. (She's holding what I want for me).


I decided to get:

the brush set
Caramel Sundae Pallette
Daddy's Girl Lipstick- This is definitely a personal shade. online it looks very purple but on me it's definitely more pink.
Summer Sweetheart Lip Glass
Stay Sweet Lip Glass
Kiss and Don't tell Lip Glass
Strawberry Malt Lip glass- this was a very pretty color.

Wanted to get but opted not to:
Girl Next Door-This was extremely sheer. Almost invisible on me. (So disappointed)
Betty Bright- reminded me of viva glam nicki


Even though I got a lot of things, I was kind of disapointed in the collection. The colors are definitely nothing special, and I feel like most of the collection is very dupable. I guess I got a lot because I happen to like neutral colors.

BTW: the ronnie red lipstick is NOTHING special at all. it's a plain matte red.

How do you guys think Cream Soda compares to Peaches?

Cream soda is more coral peach. Peaches is straight peach.

Does anyone know how similar Cream Soda is to Legendary?

Cream soda looks to be darker.

Definitely Ronnie's blush, DLG (if you don't have bright pinks, or a bright pink satin), RR (gotta love a bright retro red), and possibly BB (a good coral that's not too light for darker tones). My friend is an NC44 and she's getting those exact items!

Does anyone have an opinion on what pearlmatte would work best for some one who is very fair (pale haha) and easily gets red (due to heat, talking very quickly and so forth haha) and brown hair. Thank you...I am still kind of new to face products Oh are if one of the blushes would be a better fit?

Ronnie's blush is the magenta one. BB would look great on your colouring, but if you don't touch corals, I'd skip it.

I'm with you on the white packaging. And it is hard to believe there could be a prettier coral/orange/peach than Melba -- it is gorgeous.
