MAC x Archie's Girls (Betty & Veronica) Collection Discussion (February 2013)

lol it's just MAKEUP.

I don't think the official announcement was Jan 30th for the launch actually. Usually it's on a Thursday. They kept it under wraps until the last minute from what a MAC rep told me.

This collection doesn't seem to catch my eye and this is probably bc I own a lot of MAC and in general I am a makeup hoarder. So, with that said, I am not at all bothered by it's launch date or stuff selling out. But good luck to those who have itchy hands!

Hi, everyone! I've been lurking this thread for a while and stalking alongside you all and finally caved and made an account >.< I never bother with MAC because they release sooo many collections and they sell out so fast and it all hurts my brain but Archie comics were my life/childhood and I've waiting for this collection since it was first announced! I'm not a PRO member and I must say I'm jealous of those of you who are! D: I have no MAC counters where I live so online is kind of my only option but this whole thing is giving me serious anxiety! I'm super scared I won't get what I want :'c

Don't be too worried! Usually the way it goes is we all get nervous and worked up and then I think mostly people end up with what they want one way or another. Remember it'll be launching on some department store websites, too, and I'm sure some lovely Specktrette will post when it does.

Does MAC normally add all of the dates and locations for events on FB?

This hasn't been the case as of late with the online releases. It's been a free for all when they're actually released and days and times seem completely random.

You know, that's true and I don't understand why. I mean, if I couldn't get anything from this collection I don't think I would be seriously bummed. It's a very pretty collection, but to me, that's it. We've seen iterations of these shades before. But I think maybe I just don't get the Archie comics thing because I've never read them. I'm a Batman girl. Omg if there was a Batman (Batgirl?) collection I would wet myself.

MAC’s Archie’s Girls collection will be online at Betty,Veronica, Archie’s Girls, Accessories (they’re available to PRO members as of 3:45AM PST). Right now, if you go to those links, you’ll just see the text about each collection. Today is the official online release date.

It must be nice to be assured that you'll be able to purchase what you want, like some lucky people here. I don't have a Mac store near me and I don't have a pro card to take advantage of early release so it's online or nothing.

Yes as of late, but for their Big collaborations during this time of year, are almost always on time.
