This was my baby Nala.  She died at 7 months of a congenital heart defect.  I was blessed to have her, even if for such a short time - she had so much personality, was full of life, and brought me so much joy.  Anyway, I wish kittens could stay kittens.  It's hard to say no to their baby faces!
awww ;( sorry to hear Yazmin she was so cute!!! the middle pic is my fav ;)

All your puppies are so lovely..I'm also really sad about some of your loss.. I keep on thinking I don't know how will I survive without my cat Kiki T__T
I agree about the animal lovers thread...I am so in love with cats and dogs...

I am so sorry to hear about everyones sad stories. I still miss pets of mine that died many years ago...

These pictures make me want to run out and get more pets, right now...but my energetic Golden retriever says he isn't ready to share me just yet!

^^Thank you everyone. I still miss her like crazy. Nova came into my life a couple months later. The day I went in to adopt her, they told me that her sister was just adopted a few hours earlier, named Nala. I'd like to think that my Nala guided me to find Nova.

This thread is gonna make me cry. So sorry to everyone who's lost an animal.
I am a cat person and for the first time in my life lost my beautiful maine coon "Tosca" who was only 4 years old. All my other cats have lived to 16+++ She was a rescue cat with issues, loved her
so much. Here's her picture. I have her half brother kitten though, otherwise I wouldn't have made it.

I guess we hijacked the thread!

She's beautiful Ernie!
And I don't mind that we pet-jacked the thread - there's no new info for a while after Mac-Guy's colour story overload so why not share all our adorable fur-babies :D

My most beloved cat almost exactly the same color as Nala died of liver failure at the age of 5. It was so hard for me.. I went to cure her to the vet and she was made some blood tests there and I was told her liver has gone bad and she had to be put to sleep at the same day. I cried so hard there..

She always wanted to get under my blanket when I was sleeping and always sat on my lap whenever I sat..

Aaw, that gave me goosebumps!

These sad stories of beautiful lovely cats passing away are really making me sad, but it's so lovely to hear how much they were all loved. I can't imagine my life without our 3, they are all very different, but very loveable and sweet all the same.

Aww this about pets is sad but nice. One of my cats who I've had since I was six has been diagnosed with kiney failure. We've been trying her on some meds for a week but bet wants to see her for a blood test, because she's still being sick. I'm worried he will suggest putting her down, because aside from being sick, she's still her happy purring loving self.

maybe he wants to Check if the meds are helping? I have read that cats can survive for awhile if they start taking meds for it early enough. it sounds like it wasnt to late to start so hopefully ur kitty will show some improvement. even if he suggests it you don't have to do it, especially if she seems like she is not in pain or anything. keep us posted! hope she will be ok

Awes. That's just how things work. I hope Nova's taking good care of you.

Tosca is Goooorgeeeous. I love Maine Coons. We adopted one years ago named Texas and somehow he got out one day and never returned. All we can hope for was that he was lovable enough that he found a new home. He had such a personality, as Maine coons usually do, so anyone who found him would have fallen head over heels. Sorry about your Tosca. I know how losing a Maine Coon can be a big loss, figuratively and literally.

We call our two Fur Babies or Fur Children. My family pressures me to have children soon, but I tell them that I'm too happy with my kitties for the time being.

I'm sure the vet just wants to make sure your kitty isn't in pain and make sure the drugs are helping her. I have heard that cats will hide their pain from their owners so they don't worry.

This is (was) Texas and he really was the size of Texas. We still can't figure out how he might have gotten out of the house, but he was big enough that if anyone tried to mess with him, he'd be fine and he was lovable enough that if he ran into anyone, they'd take him in. That's what we hope.

Because I think we also need happy pictures since this thread has been seriously hijacked, here are my two adopted fur babies. Because we loved that Texas was so big and fluffy we decided to get a kitten that might grow up to be big an fluffy, although I still miss when "P" was so wee. Maitai is just my lovely lazy Siamese. She always would cuddle up whenever I did my coursework, so I say that she studied accounting with me. Anyways...

40 is young enough to be a child of mine. I rarely keep in touch with the celebs of today, but i rarely kept in touch with the celebs of my day. I'm just busy being myself

I suspect the MUAs at my local MAC don't think i'm the worst, because i help them keep their quotas up. I don't care if teens called me old because i AM old. And if you're lucky, you could live to be old like me, too

As a mom of many cats now and over the years. I can tell you there is no greater enjoyment than having them. They give you unconditional love. Prrr while sleeping next to you. Listen when you talk to yourself about makeup, play with you and always make you feel special.

I cannot imagine my life without my cats or without them ever.

I always loved it when my cat would leave a dead bird on my pillow - nice of her to bring me breakfast in bed.
