So i went to the mac store and they still had all the lippies except Betty Bright.I love the color not how crappy and dry my lips looked after. Im debating getting backups of DLG and RR, jeeez it was like butter like HG status red it didnt pull pink which i was scared it would because MM Love Goddess looked horrid on me

I never buy back ups i dont think i will end up using them and i would hate for the lippie to go bad. I already have OF, Night blooming I dont think i should need a back up of DLG right?... its gettign harder to convince myself about the RR oh man who am I kidding im asking makeup instigators! hahaha

Sadly, this occurs at a lot of macs events nowadays. During major collection launches, mac strongly focuses on booking these appointments out to the max, each appointment needs to be in and out in 30 minutes (including cleanup), which isn't feasible. We were always told to double book, regardless of how many artists were on staff on any given day. we were required to book 1 appt per hr we worked a week. No how manys hrs we worked that weekend, but that WEEK! So imagine this-i was a 30 hr/week artist. During the 3 day event, i alone had to book 30 appts. Thats an average of 10 appts per day, and that was just my goal alone! They do this as the no-show rate for event appointments is on the rise. One downside of this is when appointments actually show up, and there's the normal customer base coming in to purchase as well. Understaffed teams are stressed when trying to juggle the appts, the collection buyers, as well as customers coming in to buy stables and those who need more one on one service. Oh, and there's those that come in and "want you to try it on them real quick". Is it fair to the customers? Absolutely not. Is it gonna continue to happen, most definitely. What they bank on is people coming in to buy, regardless of whether or not there's time for them to get their makeup done. As far as calling mac, I'd suggest you do, IF you feel that the situation wasn't properly communicated to you. If you were just left hanging with no apology, no solution to the mishap (offered to resched your appointment, offered to pull definite products you wanted to buy right away, etc), not kept up to date on the time frame, or just plain ignored, then definitely call mac and voice your frustrations. Everyone understands how scary it is when you walk into a madhouse, and even moreso when it's a MAC madhouse. No one is comfortable in that situation, and now you're left with that impression of your visit, which isn't right.

Ronnie Red was compared to MAC Red (permanent) by a blogger who provided early swatches of AG (sorry I jusr can't remember her name right now to cite). Would anyone of you who has a bigger makeup stash than me swatch the two side by side? Do they look close enough? I am so freakin in love with RR that if I miss the restock for a 2nd backup, I would just get MAC Red. I think I found my HG red!!! Thank you in advance!

I just happened to be at the mall last night and decided to check out the collection in person just to swatch stuff I was curious about. I actually did enjoy Flatter me swatch on my skintone it would have given me a peachy glow on top of a blush, but I already have Veronica's Blush so I couldn't justify it. Veronica's Blush is def. silvery on my skintone.

So I only ended up with some boring stuff like the Black Swan, Petrol Blue liners and Summer Sweet lipglass. It's going to make a great everyday gloss for me.

Hopefully they restock the brush set again soon. After that I will be officially done with Archie and focus on April!

I think they're different. The warm pink undertone of RR is more apparent when swatched next to MR. If RR is your HG then I say don't settle. Below MAC Red Left, Ronnie Red Right. HTH.

Definitely sounds like you should contact MAC--maybe they can tell stores if enough people tell them what is going on. I've had this happen for other lines, but I've stopped going to makeovers during big events because they are such a sh*tshow. I think if the store/MAC doesn't hear from customers nothing will change.
