I just picked up Dressed to Kill Lipstick and Seduction blush. I will go back for Persia and Buthan after my next pay period, lol! Ok so Seduction is sooooo bold on me! Like super bold! It's more a fall/winter blush to me but I think it would look better with a tan. The SA put it on just slightly with a fan brush and it still looks like this (sorry about crappy photo quality, it's a cloudy day here):
I'm around MAC NW20 this time of the year and I haven't been spray tanning forever! I still like it though, I would need to wear it even more toned down and perhaps with less bold of lips next time.
The lipstick is to die for. I have lost count of how many red lipsticks I have but this one is still unique...I think it's coz of the shimmer

Well, i posted this in the Archie's Girls thread a few days ago, because that's were i first read what elegant-one had to say, but i figured i'd post it here, too, where it's more on topic

Well, elegant-one, it's all your fault
I wandered into sephora yesterday to get the NARS Bouthan e/s duo (two shades of pink) and the Corcovado Soft Touch Shadow Pencil (24 K gold) and ended up not getting either (i've got a lot of pink and a lot of gold eye stuff), but i DID pick up the new NARS Light Reflecting Setting Powder compact.
It is elegantly packaged. There's a neat little soft black fabric - with the NARS logo woven in black - pouch that folds over and an attached black elastic to keep it shut. Inside are two pockets. In one is a moderately large NARS matte black rubber compact with a mirror in its lid and in the other is a very very thin white rectangular applicator.
I'm not sure if the compact going to work for me, though. I wear antioxidant serum and moisturizer, and as i am patting the powder onto my face the applicator picks up some of the skin care product, and when i put it back on the compact for more powder, there's some transfer. I'm concerned this could ruin the powder. I'm going to test it for a few more days, and if my fears are proven to be the case, i'll exchange it for the loose powder.
While i was in sephora a young woman kept sticking her fingers in the tester compact and swiping over and over, trying to get up a load of powder, and then looking at her fingers and not seeing much. I confess i butted in and explained to her it was meant to be sheer and colorless and just provide a soft diffused finish. She looked skeptical...

I tested Bouthan (= boo-tahn = Buhtan - NARS uses the French spelling). The lighter side is a quite pale "icing sugar" matte pink. I was concerned it might be a bit chalky, but i think it's OK when blended out. The darker side is also matte, a nice colorful blush pink, but with silver glitter in it - with the proper eye primer, there probably won't be fall out.
In the end i didn't buy it because i have so many wonderful MAC pink eyeshadows that work really well on me. I have to say i'm really liking the pink eye looks i've been creating lately, but i may give in and go back for it.

I agree Dressed to Kill is really pretty with some subtle golden shimmer in it. Bouthan is so easily wearable, very soft and not chalky at all ( and totally different from the trio Douce France ).

I'm in the US on business and got to fill my Sephora wish list. I bought Dressed to Kill - it's a gorgeous shade that's entirely flattering on my warm skin tone. I don't know why it's described as a fuschia - it sure isn't on me. I meant to try Corcovado but forgot. I'll check it out when I'm back across the border next month.
I also bought the loose setting powder. I'm just about finished the blot powder I use at home and this is its replacement. I didn't buy the pressed version because I have a fairly new pressed MAC translucent powder and I'm trying hard not to buy an item that will just cause another to go unused. I'm proud of myself for resisting!

Neiman Marcus finally has the spring collection posted on their website. I'm glad I've been patient enough to hold off on buying most of it so I can order it through them. The only problem is right now we have to every bit of extra money for moving next month, so I will have to continue to press my patience. Harrumph. At least I got Seduction and Bouthan and lots of other goodies to hold me off until after we settle.

For the ladies who asked wheter the loose reflecting powder or the compact one, I found the pressed powder at Sephora today ( they didn't have the loose formula ), I am very glad I chose the pressed powder ( I am a huge fan of loose powders in fact ) : it's so subtle and soft, invisible on the skin. I don't wear any foundation but I'll wear this powder just to illuminate the skin. I love the packaging ( it looks like the Chanel spring Poudre Signée ) and most of all the powder formula. Extremely smooth, it's like wearing a translucent white veil on the face, just GREAT ! I highly recommand it.
This powder is really to die for, A must have in my opinion.

SRSLY, the Light Reflecting Setting Powder is magic
I always had fine pores, but now that i have mild rosacea on my cheeks, chin, and nose, i have pores that foundation often sinks into - not a great look. But a couple swipes of LRSP, and, poof! many of those pores just disappear and the others are much less obvious.

Skipped Seduction blush as Inglot has a shade that is nearly identical. Was going to pick up Bouthan and Corvacado but skipped both. For those of you interested in Corvacado, Sephora makes an gold pencil that is almost identical but lasts longer and is only $14. Don't recall the name of it right off hand but it is one of those new waterproof ones that they have. I may go back for Dressed to Kill. It is very pretty and definitely work safe but I feel like I have something similar somewhere in my embarrassingly big stash. Surprisingly I did come home with Persia. It is gorgeous but I still need to swatch it against MAC Hot Paprika.

Eeek I saw swatches of God.Created Woman palette and ommmg, I looove the dark cokors. Oooo. And I have store credit. I is in Love. Anyone have any idea what texture/longetivity of Nars shadows?? Ive never ever tried any.
