Totally off topic but, I picked up Mirrored Plum at the Maybelline counter today. Absolutely, Utterly Gorgeous! My lemming for Heroine Lipglass is over. I like this one MUCH better!

Love that! Is there any shimmer in this?

I totally agree! I usually use hers as a slight reference. But she does amazing swatches and I find her comparison shades really helpful when she mentions it in the description of each product.

I love her consistent lighting. I know what a lot of MAC looks like in person, so I just adjust my expectations of what new swatches will look like with her lighting. I also love that her coloring is similar enough to mine to get a better idea of what products look like.

I don't like this lipglass at all, I wanted a creamy purple without shimmer.

I'm now thinking about only getting Ablaze and Heroine lipstick and maybe Ablaze lipglass..

I wish Heroine L/G was the glossy version of the L/S too! I would imagine it should be an opaque, non-shimmery, bright and creamy primary purple.

It has no smell and no taste. Something I like about this lipgloss. And the color of course!

Oooh thanks! it always seems drugstore lip products add tons of flavor; especially Rimmel's. Kate Moss lippies? I actually returned the two i got bc they tasted and smelled like a freakin' yankee candle. And the glosses? They smelled and tasted like cherry air freshener. Ew.

This isn't the best picture I could've taken of myself, but the color on the lips is pretty accurate. This is Ablaze liner, lipstick and lipglass. I blotted it down. After applying the gloss, even just a little, it made my lips look all juicy. I guess that's great if you have small lips, but my lips are big enough so I wanted to tone that down. I made it more of a stain. In the future, I'm wearing the lipstick and liner or the gloss and liner. Really not a fan of using all three on myself. That's the case no matter the colors involved, though.

Thanks! :lol: Are you thinking about getting Ablaze? You must. Seriously. I own a sea of oranges and corals, so maybe I'm biased and maybe I can see subtle differences that non coral freaks can't see, but I love all three of these products. I think they're essential.

It depends if you have dry lips and lots of fine lines like me, you might like it! I do like it with a good primer, and my lips won't be as dry this summer.

Yes I have! I've tried everything under the sun for my lips and they still peel. The winter is brutal on my lips!

Gawd I wish I could buy the Maybelline vivids to compare it to heroine but when I went to my Walmart I was freakin disgusted with their inventory. The 1st Hot Plum on the stack had a huge booger jamming the rim of the cap and the case. BIG WTFFFF!!! The 2nd was squished and the 3rd had a fingerprint on top. I've never considered myself a makeup snob because I think DS makeups come up with pretty good quality makeup but after that experience I swear never to buy from Walmart and DS makeup that is not sealed.

I'll definitely compare the two when I get Silly in the mail DP is my fav liner to use with Pink Friday and Saint Germain.

In regards to dryness, Prep+Prime lip is a godsend. It even makes applying lip pencils much easier and lengthens the wear considerably. I highly recommend it! I'm almost done with my first tube and need another one.

I've tried Prep+Prime before and I gave a few weeks to test it out and it did nothing for my lips. I was sad because I heard so many good things about it too. Such a let down. The only thing that semi works for me in Carmex. I have to wear it at night too but, at least my lips don't look crispy in the morning.

Hi guys! I have been stalking this website for awhile and finally decided to post

. My MAC counter (inside Macy's) just called me back and let me preorder for this collection- so you may want to keep calling or try again. However, they didn't have the eyeshadows in yet- but they did say they would hold them for me when they get in.

Debating getting silly lip pencil and lip glass on the Canadian site it'll just cost me 40$ but they're both avail .. Hmmm

I'm still debating Silly lip pencil. I know that the lipstick is off my list but, the pencil I can get use out of for other colors. And If I decided to wear it alone I have lipgloss to put over top.

Thanks! I actually just called back to check on it to see if they needed more information and the SA said that they have to take it off hold because they aren't supposed to pre-sale. Seriously, can people get their sh*t together?

I know that the SA who helped me this morning has been at that counter for at least six months; she should know what's going on. I'll just order it when it hits the Nordie's site, it's not worth the hassle at this point.
